A few photo of Old Trail Town in Cody Wyoming

Cody Wyoming is a great place to visit and is home to one of the best museums I have ever been to called Buffalo Bills Center of the West. The museum consists of five museums under one roof which are Buffalo Bill Museum, Plains Indian Museum, Cody Firearms Museum, Draper Natural History Museum, and Whitney Western Art Museum. But this post is about a spot not as well known and not visited by many. The place is called Old Trail Town and is located on the outskirt of Cody not far from the downtown of Cody.

Old Trail Town is a collection of building, tools, wagons, and a museum full of old western items.

Most of the buildings were original buildings collected from other location and reassembled at Old Trail Town. Some of the buildings are famous and others are just an example of the time. The nice things about Old Trail Town is that you can walk through the buildings which are all furnished the way they would have been.

These last two pictures are taken inside the Hole in the wall cabin which was the meeting place for Butch Cassidy, the Sundance Kid, and other outlaws famous in the old west.

If you ever visit Cody Wyoming talk look at Old Trail Town it is a nice collection of western items.
