Sun, rain, and snow in our Spring season.

So, how's this for a mix, as winter desperately tries to hang on.

We drove through the clouds on the road into our local park.

The cold fronts just continue to come rolling in, and our temperatures can change from 27C one day, to 13C the next day. It rained so much this winter that we had to strip the one palisade panel of the granadilla bushes on it, as the main trunk became totally rotten. Too much water they say, and that's why its branches remained dead and dry, with no new growth on it.
The other granadilla panel has new leaves at the top, but none on its lower half, and so we will wait to see if it fruits, and then also remove it after the summer season.
Come and see what I have to share.

We came here, as I wanted to show you the snow.

Not as much as the snow falls in Europe, but in Africa, in the spring season this is unheard of.

Then later in the afternoon, a sun halo appeared to warn us that more rain was on its way. And so I decided to play with the halo as you will see in the 5 shots below.

That is the Atlantic Ocean that you see below, and I want to show you how quickly that ocean can change its appearance.

See what I mean?

It is so true when they say that the Atlantic is wild, and the strong easterly winds can cover the entire area, including the mountains with white sea mist. It really seems to me that the sun boils the sea, and the wind carries the steam across the coast to cover our town inland. We are in a winter raining season, and we have a Mediterranean climate, but the winter doesn't think so, as it just continues to stoke us with cold fronts. So when it's hot the one day, we remove all of the blankets on the bed, and then the cold the next day simply makes us to replace the blankets again. Sort of a T-shirt the one day, and then a warm coat the next day. Funny, but true.
Such is life.

I hope that you enjoyed the pictures and the story. We also want to wish everyone a happy and peaceful weekend.
