Some Friday zoom fun.

Tell me if you can see two guys fishing in a boat on the dam?

It is actually a lake, about 2 kilometers from my vantage point.

On the distant horizon you can see the foreshore and the sea with some mountains in the background. (About 6 kilometers away). A new shopping center was built and on the second-floor some restaurants have a lovely wide balcony decked with tables and chairs for their clients that want a view. We sat for coffee and I decided to show you the view. Mark my words as you will see the great zoom power of my camera. My camera has a single lens on the zoom, and it is fitted on a retractable gear carriage that allows me to extend and retract the zoom.
I will show you how the camera works below.

Here below you can see that we were sitting on the second floor above the car parking area.

So, you didn't see the two fisherman in a boat?

Compare this picture with the tag picture towards the right, as then you might see the position of the boat.

Let's zoom that boat below.

Now, let's zoom the horizon to see the buildings at the seafront.

Bang, about 6 kilometers away from my spot with the camera.

I have the habit to look intently at views and quite often I see things that are a mystery to others.

Any little movement can catch my eye, and then I use the zoom to show me what it is. In this case the movement of the boat caught my eye in the first photo, and I saw that it was not a bird, due to its length. Voila! There was a boat on the zoom. I don't think that the fishermen knew that they could be spotted over such a long distance, but my camera knows better :)
Our wishes are that everyone will have a great new month.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.
