Village gardens are like bits of heaven, full of love and care

Hello friends. I hope you all are healthy.

It is winter season and freezing cold winds blow in the morning. In the morning I light the stove and go to take a bath. After that, after having breakfast, I go to Narkanda market with milk as usual. After returning from Narkanda, I drink tea and go to work in my apple fields. Nowadays I am doing the work of carrying cow dung in the fields. Every year we add cow dung to the apple trees before the snow in winter, which is beneficial for the soil and trees.

Some gardeners these days also add fertilizer to apple trees, but my father says that cow dung is more beneficial for the soil than fertilizer. There are earthworms in cow dung which make the soil fertile. Earlier, when there was no fertilizer, people used only cow dung. It is also called nature farming.

After finishing my work in the field, I feed fodder to the cows and let the chickens out to feed. I feel good with my animals because they recognize me well and even talk to me. If any outsider comes into my courtyard, my rooster Lalu pecks and drives him away.

Then in the evening I take pictures of the flowers in my courtyard which are now drying up due to cold. Their colors and their fragrance have been lost somewhere.

Our life is also like these flowers, if it is today then not tomorrow. After the sun sets I collect wood for the stove. Such is the daily routine here.

All these pictures having taken from Sony A58 camera and editing in Snapseed app.
