Dominant over a vantage point atop a hill, rises above all the Bratislava Castle, in the capital city of Slovakia. I visited Bratislava during a winter cycling adventure across Europe, after SF3 (Krakow, 2018). The trip from Krakow to Bratislava was tough, full of rain, sore throat and snow. Fortunately, the days in Bratislava were pristine, despite a politics event having the castle closed during my stay. {damn politicians}.

The castle includes four towers (one on each corner) and a courtyard with a 80 m deep water well. The largest and tallest tower is the Crown Tower on the southwest corner. Because of the event I don't have any photos of the interior, leaving me curious to see the Slovak National Museum. The history behind the castle is absolutely vast; I totally recommend, at least, a Wikipedia article to elucidate the importance of this castle's location throughout history.
