This is my entry for amateur tire in Deranged photography contest by @derangedvisions. Theme for this week is black and white. I love B&W photos, and many times I am amazed how good some photos look in black and white, but I am not so good at it. I still have to learn about the best way how to edit black and white photos to make it perfect. You can also see that in my entry, as I have many edits.
These photos were taken last December during protests in Serbia. In Serbia, protests are very often happening, you can have big or small groups of people protesting for various reasons, throughout the entire year. But these protests were different, these protest united all people in Serbia, because protests were about protecting nature. At the time, the government supported Rio Tinto company to make lithium mine in West Serbia, which would destroy nature. Also, air in several cities across the country is very bad during winter, so the protests were to protect air, water and land. Did they work out? For now, they did. We had elections in April, so the situation had to calm down for that, but I doubt that this war is over yet, unfortunately.
All photos were taken in Belgrade, on Slavija square, but at the time, protests took place in many other important places in the city and all over the country.
All photos were taken with Nokia 7 plus phone, and Xiaomi 11 phone, and edited in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom application.
I have to admit this is not quite my field, and I mostly used already made presets, but I will try to work more on my black and white photos. And it's always fun to participate in any type of contest, at least, for me :)
