I present to you the girls from the DM dance school, who have been awarded numerous medals.
This is my second dance photoshoot in an urban setting. Before I met the girls I was worried because my assistant was not there that day. I felt like I had eaten a whole apple that was stuck in my throat. However, things calmed down very quickly. Photographing young people is really relaxing. I learn some new youth expression, we laugh loud and jump high. In a word, a full deal falls.
The band's style is acro dancing. If you haven't seen my previous stories it's a mix of ballet and acrobatics. I had the honor of photographing professionals who performed the tricks as stuntmen. Really impressive!
The use of urban elements with this dance style looks quite interesting because you see - the girl is doing a scooter move that looks great! I'm happy shooting city dances, really. I see passers-by around us stopping to watch and enjoy the dancing. They laugh as I gesture, showing exactly where and how to stand, lying on the ground. I'm lying down because almost always a low vantage point is best. Thus I give the dancer a majestic appearance.
THANKS FOR SHARING THIS STORY!
I took the photos with my old Nikon 5600 / 18-140 lens. Of course, the camera and lens are highly unsuitable for this type of high-speed shooting. Immediately after the session I bought a Canon EOS RP with lenses - 50, 85 and 24 - 160 mm.
