From Palm fruits to red oil

Hello photography lovers!

Here are some interesting pictures of oil meal (a place were red oil are been produced) in my country Nigeria. This oil meal belongs to my friend. Going around the premises, i took some pictures to share to the world how red oil are being locally produced in my country.

This kind of oil meal are so rare. In some oil meal you will only see the local digestive and presser. But here they have complete machines for the job.

In some oil meal, people always used their bea hands to separate the palm canel from the chaf. But in this oil meal, they have engine that separate the palm canel from the chaf. Like i said, this oil meal is rare, because in the other oil meals they have manual presser but here they have electric presser.

Though they don't have electric boiler, but they have locally constructed iron barrel which they used for boiling like every other oil meals. When you take your bunches of palm fruit to this oil meal. The same day you are going home with your red oil. They have local shifter to separate the palm fruit from the waist. After that, the boiling part takes place. Then after some hours of boiling, it will be transferred to the digestive where the palm fruits will be grounded. Then the operator will transfer it from digestive engine to the electric presser which will press out all the red oil and the water out of the grounded palm fruit. The operator will now transfer it to the machine that will separates the canels from the chaf.

After some days when the canel must have dried, it will be taking to another machine that will crack it out of its shell which will be used as firewood.
