HEILANDSKIRCHE
Finally a night without rain! The weather forecast had predicted that it would stop snowing at 9pm. So @stepko and I set off for the Heilandskirche in Potsdam. When we arrived, it was still snowing. Well, a few snowflakes won't kill us, and the camera probably won't break right away either.
Endlich mal eine Nacht ohne Regen! Die Wettervorhersage hatte uns prophezeit, dass es um 21 Uhr aufhört zu schneien. Also machten @stepko und ich uns auf den Weg zur Heilandskirche nach Potsdam. Als wir ankamen schneite es noch. Na gut, so ein paar Schneeflocken bringen uns nicht um, und die Kamera wird wohl auch nicht gleich kaputt gehen.

I first illuminated the round window and the cross with a LEP lamp with a red colour filter. It was not so easy to hit the two parts from quite a distance. Unfortunately, you can't get into the church at night. It would be much easier and more effective to illuminate the window from the inside. In the next step, I illuminated the church and bell tower with the Emisar D4K. Then I shone the LEP lamp upwards on the bell tower. In the last step I lit the foreground with the Emisar D4K and the big tree next to the church with the Noctigon DM11.
Ich beleuchtete zuerst das runde Fenster und das Kreuz mit einer LEP Lampe mit rotem Farbfilter. Das war nicht ganz so einfach die beiden Teile aus recht großer Entfernung zu treffen. Leider kommt man nachts in die Kirche nicht rein. Es wäre wesentlich einfacher und wirkungsvoller, das Fenster von innen zu beleuchten. Im nächsten Schritt beleuchtete ich Kirche und Glockenturm mit der Emisar D4K. Im Anschluss leuchtete ich mit der LEP Lampe am Glockenturm nach oben. Im letzten Schritt beleuchtete ich den Vordergrund mit der Emisar D4K und den großen Baum neben der Kirche mit der Noctigon DM11.

At the first attempt, the illumination of the church was too bright. Not much remained of the red light. So I had to repeat the picture.
Beim ersten Versuch war die Ausleuchtung der Kirche zu hell. Vom roten Licht blieb nicht viel übrig. Also musste ich das Bild wiederholen.

At the second attempt it looks better, but here the goofy light painter shone himself into the picture when illuminating the foreground. So let's start again from the beginning. In the cover picture you can see the third attempt.
Beim zweiten Versuch sieht das schon besser aus, allerdings hat sich hier der vertrottelte Lightpainter bei der Ausleuchtung des Vordergrundes selbst ins Bild geleuchtet. Also nochmal von vorne. Im Titelbild seht ihr den dritten Versuch.
It was long past 9 pm. Of course, it had not stopped snowing, quite the opposite. Unfortunately, @stepko and I had no carrot with us. Otherwise we could have built a snowman. Despite the adverse conditions, it was a fine night outing.
Es war längst 21 Uhr. Es hatte natürlich nicht aufgehört zu schneien, ganz im Gegenteil. Leider hatten @stepko und ich keine Möhre dabei. Sonst hätten wir einen Schneemann bauen können. Trotz der widrigen Umstände war das ein feiner nächtlicher Ausflug.
I'm usually quite pain-free when it comes to my equipment. The things the camera and lenses have had to put up with... But yesterday I was a little afraid that something would break. At the moment, all the stuff is drying in the flat. I hope that nothing got broken. I'll test everything tomorrow.
Ich bin gewöhnlich recht schmerzbefreit was meine Ausrüstung anbelangt. Was die Kamera und die Objektive schon alles aushalten mussten... Aber gestern hatte ich dann ein wenig Angst, dass irgendwas kaputt geht. Im Moment trocknet das ganze Zeug in der Wohnung. Ich hoffe, dass nichts kaputt gegangen ist. Ich werde morgen mal alles testen.
