Infrared Macro Photography on HIVE - Part 2

Let's continue with the little creepy-crawlies. You can read how I took the pictures in part 1. So there's not much text today.

The fly didn't want to be photographed at first. I don't really know why. Normally they are rather annoying and don't flee if you don't want them around.

I can't say what kind of animal it is. It was smaller than a bee or wasp. But this is not supposed to be a scientific treatise on insects.

The wild bee was not so easy to photograph because of its small size. Of the 20 or so pictures, only this one is correctly focused. The little bees are very agile.

WHAT IS LIGHT PAINTING?

Light painting is a unique form of art. The darkness is illuminate by the artist with diverse light sources and light traces are paint into the picture with various light tools. Various techniques are use, such as camera rotation or other movements of the camera during the exposure. The creative possibilities are almost unlimited. All the pictures were taken during one single exposure. Apart from denoising, sharpening, cutting and possibly adjusting the white balance, the pictures are not processed on the computer.
