Lord Shiva's wife is Parvati and their marriage has an interesting story in Shaivism and Hindu mythology. She is also known to be the incarnation of Sati who threw herself into the fire after she was unable to stand humiliation against Shiva caused by her father who was against her marriage to Lord Shiva. Parvati she had a great devotion to marry Shiva as well and even left her kingdom, parents, wealth and such devotion towards Lord Shiva amazes every god out there. Lord Shiva finally went to her home and married her. That's why Hindu people had a festival called "Teej" in which unmarried woman took a fast to get a loving and caring husband like Shiva.
