Night photography is an unexplored field for me. Maybe because I don't usually take pictures late at night, or because my photographic equipment is not the best. Or maybe these are excuses.

However, sometimes against my will I like to explore, and I think this applies to everything.

Urban night photography has an undeniable appeal. The darkness invaded by lights and people gives a special touch.

The night is usually associated with archetypes linked to loneliness, evil, among others, but it also has a side not only aesthetic, but interesting from a philosophical point of view.

For many people, it is the end of the day. However, it also evokes a new beginning, and also the adaptation to a change thanks to the absence of light, attributed to peace, goodness and well-being, but the truth is that in the dark there can also be this, depending on many factors.

In Venezuela, nights can mean danger, because the streets are unsafe. And I am not saying that this is wrong, but sometimes paranoia or hysteria, which are justified, prevents us from appreciating the beauty of the urban cold and its solitude, as well as a rare peace in the absence of the bustle of the day.

La fotografía nocturna es un terreno inexplorado por mí. Tal vez porque no suelo tomar fotos a altas horas de la noche, o porque mi equipo fotográfico no es el mejor. O a lo mejor son excusas.

Sin embargo, a veces en contra de mi voluntad me gusta explorar, y esto creo que aplica con todo.

La fotografía urbana nocturna tiene un atractivo indiscutible. La oscuridad invadida por las luces y la gente dan un toque especial.

La noche suele estar asociada a arquetipos vinculados con la soledad, maldad, entre otros, pero también tiene un lado no solo estético, sino interesante desde el punto de vista filosófico.

Para muchos es el fin del día. Sin embargo, también evoca un nuevo comienzo, y también la adaptación a un cambio gracias a la ausencia de la luz, atribuida a la paz, bondad y al bienestar, pero lo cierto es que en la oscuridad también puede haber esto, dependiendo de muchos factores.

En Venezuela las noches pueden significar peligro, porque las calles son inseguras. Y no digo que esto sea incorrecto, pero a veces la paranoia o histeria, que son justificadas, nos impide apreciar la belleza del frío urbano y su soledad, así como de una rara paz ante la falta del bullicio diurno.
