Chameleon: Curiosity and disguise

Hi Hive Lovers

I was again visited by this unique creature. He came over while some of my friends and I were doing some painting on the floor of the disabled track in the courtyard of an office building. I previously discussed his brother, which you can read about again here.

You must find these animals less and less, especially since they have the ability to disguise themselves. His body color really made for a good disguise. If they're on a branch, you won't notice them unless you really open your eyes.

The perch area is indeed on the branches of trees to hunt for small insects that become food. But today he dared to come down from the branch of a small tree near us. I suspect he was interested in our work. The smell and color of the paint caught his attention.

The pungent smell of paint and the contrasting paint colors had intrigued him. He actually came down and approached us who were working. It was a good opportunity for me to photograph it.

You can see the change in body color. He doesn't really have any camouflaging abilities in this red and yellow paint color. But when it comes to twigs and leaves, he is the master. You will only know where he is when he is moving.

The color changes he can make are not as good as those of an iguana, his cousin. Note that this little lizard is only able to change color from light to dark, from green to black; it's not really black.

You can see some of the color changes he has made in some of the photos I took with the #SamsungA52 mobile phone camera. I mostly used #macromode to shoot him. Here are some of them:

Maybe he has color blindness; the colors red and yellow he can't understand well. But when it comes to the leaves, it really does it. I guessed that he had failed when it came to some colors he had never encountered before. Red and yellow were completely new to him.

In my opinion, curiosity has made him fail in disguise. But, who can resist curiosity? At least he had succeeded in fulfilling his current curiosity.

Just like us, if we are too curious about other people's business and try to cover it with various disguises, then we will still look tacky and ridiculous to others, unless you are a spy trained to carry out a disguise.
