Hello dear photography lovers friends at #Hive!.... I continue to take advantage of the breaks between downpours here in my village and spend time looking around the gardens at home and trying to find some of those ‘little miracles’ that I love to photograph, edit and then share with you here on #Hive!

¡Hola amigos amantes de la fotografía en #Hive!... Continúo aprovechando los intervalos de tiempo entre aguaceros aquí en mi pueblo y me dedico a pasar el tiempo mirando en los jardines de casa y procurando encontrar algunos de esos "pequeños milagros" que tanto me gusta fotografiar, editar y luego compartir con ustedes aquí en #Hive!

As you can see, I like to find the abstract sense in many of these photographs and the plants splashed with moisture and a bit ‘dishevelled’ after the rain, are very conducive to generating that abstraction. On the other hand, here the visual drama generated by the focused foregrounds and aggressively blurred backgrounds plays an important role in my liking the result I achieve in these photos. This time in particular, I preferred to keep the editing in colour (those who follow my #Hive blog will know that more than 70% of my work is in black and white) but since today's photos are mostly of flowers, I decided to take advantage of their vivid colours to make this work in colour.

Como pueden apreciar, me gusta encontrar el sentido abstracto en muchas de estas fotografías y las plantas salpicadas de humedad y un poco "desaliñadas" después de la lluvia, son algo muy propicio para generar esa abstracción. Por otra parte, aquí el drama visual generado por los primero planos enfocados y los fondos agresivamente difuminados, juega un papel importante al momento de que a mi me guste el resultado que logro en estas fotos. Esta vez en particular, preferí mantener la edición en colores (aquellos que siguen mi #Hive blog sabrán que más del 70% de mi trabajo es en blanco y negro) pero tratándose de hoy en su mayorías de fotos de flores, entonces decidía aprovechar sus colores vivos para hacer este trabajo a color.

I did this photographic work with my Tokina 100mm Macro lens which is the one I use most of the time when I want to have a bit of fun shooting macro and close-ups. This is a quite suitable piece of optics for this kind of photos and if one learns to manage its huge light absorption capacity and fantastic depth of field, then it is feasible to go around very happily using apertures of f/3.5, ISO 500 and focus manually without using tripod or flash... That's photographic freedom at least for me! ;)...

Hice este trabajo fotográfico con mi lente Macro Tokina 100mm el cual es el que uso la mayoría de las veces que deseo divertirme un poco haciendo fotos macro y close-ups. Esta es un pieza óptica bastante adecuada para este tipo de fotos y si uno aprende a gestionar su enorme capacidad de absorción de luz y fantástica profundidad de campo, entonces es factible ir por ahí muy feliz usando aperturas de f/3.5, ISO 500 y enfocar manualmente si usar trípode ni flash... ¡Eso es libertad fotográfica cuando menos para mi! ;)...

ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape 3.6.3.

NOTA TÉCNICA ADICIONAL: Fotografias capturadas con mi cámara DSLR Nikon D7000 en formato RAW, procesadas posteriormente en Adobe Camera RAW para ajustes relativos a luz, afilado, contraste y profundidad... Luego fueron exportadas a formato JGP sobre el cual se llevaron a cabo modificaciones menores como enderezado y agregado de marcas de agua usando PhotoScape 3.6.3.
