Hi everyone! On this occasion I want to give you these curious but very common images that reflect the reality of the popular areas of the Venezuelan capital, it turns out that Caracas is a city where great contrasts can be found, but the one that attracts the most attention is the one that is It clearly reflects in the west of the city, where large urbanizations originally well designed and with well-demarcated areas with the passing of time were changing their face and their spaces were occupied by thousands and thousands of people who did not have access to a decent home and therefore they were forced to build their houses at first in an artisan way and over the years, little by little these structures were being improved until they reached the famous brick houses that today define the silhouette. e many mountains not only in Caracas but in many other Venezuelan cities.
This is how we can explain these images that seem surreal, where large apartment towers of 14 floors each (commonly called blocks) seem to be minimized before the large number of houses that were built around them occupying spaces that on many occasions They seemed impossible to inhabit, these images were captured in the January 23 Urbanization, a place that has a very particular history, always linked to political, social and cultural struggles, but without a doubt it is a space that shines due to the resistance of its people and the organizational capacity that over time has been strengthened so that in this way community problems are solved by their own hands without depending on anyone.

Hola a todos! En esta ocasión les quiero regalar estas curiosas pero muy comunes imágenes que reflejan la realidad de las zonas populares de la capital venezolana, resulta que Caracas es una ciudad en donde se pueden encontrar grandes contrastes, pero el que más llama la atención es el que se refleja de forma clara en el oeste de la urbe, en donde grandes urbanizaciones originalmente bien diseñadas y con aéreas bien demarcadas con el pasar del tiempo fueron cambiando su rostro y sus espacios fueron ocupados por miles y miles de personas que no contaban con el acceso a una vivienda digna y por lo tanto se vieron en la obligación de edificar sus casas en un principio de forma artesanal y con el pasar de los años poco a poco estas estructuras fueron siendo mejoradas hasta llegar a las famosas casas de ladrillos que hoy definen la silueta e muchas montañas no solo de Caracas sino de muchas otras ciudades venezolanas.
Es de esta forma cómo podemos explicar estas imágenes que parecen surrealistas, en donde grandes torres de apartamentos de 14 pisos cada uno (comúnmente llamados bloques) parecen verse minimizados ante la gran cantidad de casas que se construyeron a su alrededor ocupando espacios que en muchas ocasiones parecían imposibles de habitar, estas imágenes fueron capturadas en la Urbanización 23 de Enero un lugar que posee una historia muy particular, ligada siempre a las luchas políticas, sociales y culturales, pero sin duda alguna es un espacio que brilla por la resistencia de su gente y la capacidad organizativa que con el pasar del tiempo se ha fortalecido para que de este modos los problemas comunitarios sean resueltos por mano propia sin depender de nadie.
