A couple of weeks ago we went on a "school trip" together with the famous Percy Tienhooven and 50 of his followers!
We went to the Dutch car museum Louwman museum in The Hague! it's a must see for car lovers. I am not a car enthusiast but I like the architecture of the building and going to a museum together is fun! That's why I focused on the inside of the museum! And I had 50 "models" to take pictures of :p
The museum shows you cars from back in the year 1887 until the present! They even got some horse carriage from way earlier but that doesn't count for me. This museum dates from the year 1935 and it is build by the family Louwman! A Dutch family business founded in 1923. With import companies for Toyota, Lexus, Morgan and Suzuki car brands, they have been one of the largest car distributors in Europe for decades. Motorcycles and outboard motors are also familiar territory.
And they saw the importance of keeping the car history alive so that's why the started this museum. it's got the worlds biggest privet collection of automobiles! More than 270 different cars that were important trough out history! Many sports cars from legendary drivers and also many movie-cars and cars from celebrity's like Al Capone and Micheal Jackson! But if you want to see those cars you need to go yourself's!
Here is my impression in color of the museum!
We started in the entrance hall where you also can give events and social gatherings!
I just love this ceiling!
There was only one car that i had to photograph, it is an original DAF 600. A icon from the Netherlands! One of the view car manufacturing companies from The Netherlands!
Above the elevator this ornament is hanging above you! Probably from some American classic car!
They do love there historical cars. This one, the worlds first six-cylinder engine, four-wheel drive four-wheel brakes car has got is own room in the building! Its almost like a castle-tower!
Its a Spyker 60HP from 1902! Maby they put it here because it's a brand from the Netherlands.
They also have a couple of planes, old Fokker planes from the Netherlands!
I love the floor here, the cars are nice to :)
I love to play with shadows and lines! Specially if there are windows there! I asked these guys if they wanted to pose for me.
The museum has got more than cars, like this hall filled with old gas-pomp's.
I just like the shadows and the windows more :p
