Siempre he pensado que los árboles son seres muy sabios y generosos, sabios porque no se aferran al pasado, dejan caer lo que ya ha cumplido su ciclo junto a ellos, flores, hojas, ramas y frutos, y generosos, porque regalan sombra, comida, refugio, hogar, oxígeno y compañía a todos los seres vivos, incluidos nosotros.

I have always thought that trees are very wise and generous beings, wise because they don't cling to the past, they let fall what has already completed its cycle with them, flowers, leaves, branches and fruits, and generous, because they give shade, food, shelter, home, oxygen and company to all living beings, including us.
