Today I want to share with you a selection of photos from a photoshoot I did a 3 months ago, on the occasion of my friend Max's 40th birthday. He and his partner were expecting, in a few weeks, the birth of Emma, their first daughter, and for this reason, Irene, the future mother, had a huge belly.
I had already done a photoshoot during the first weeks of her pregnancy (you can see it here), but they both wanted to document how the belly grew after a few months. For me it was a great pleasure and an honor to have the opportunity to take these unique shots, which will remain forever in their greatest memories of their lives.
Since Max was celebrating his birthday that evening at his aunt's beautiful country estate, we took advantage of that location to take some shots with the sunset light, taking advantage of the more beautiful than that magical farmhouse.
Those who know Massimiliano and Irene also know how much they love each other, but I hope that from my photos, all their love comes out. I tried to take them in spontaneous moments as well as posing, to make the photo shoot as real and natural as possible.
I collected hundreds of shots but then made a selection of about 50 photos, which I then edited slightly, using black and white, sepia and, in the case of color photos, a few splashes of contrast or editing of very light colors and light.
A few weeks later, as I was telling you, Emma was born: a very sweet and beautiful long-haired baby girl that I hope to be able to photograph soon!

Oggi voglio condividere con voi una selezione di foto da un servizio fotografico che ho fatto 3 mesi fa, in occasione del 40° compleanno del mio amico Max. Lui e la compagna aspettavano, di lì a poche settimane, la nascita di Emma, la loro prima figlia, e per questo motivo, Irene, la futura mamma, aveva un pancione enorme.
Avevo già fatto un servizio fotografico durante le prime settimane della sua gravidanza (potete vederlo qui), ma hanno entrambi voluto documentare come la panciona è cresciuta a distanza di qualche mese. Per me è stato un grande piacere ed un onore avere la possibilità di fare questi scatti unici, che resteranno per sempre nei loro ricordi più grandi della loro vita.
Visto che quella stessa sera Max avrebbe festeggiato il suo compleanno nella bellissima tenuta di campagna di sua zia, abbiamo approfittato di quella location per fare degli scatti con la luce del tramonto, sfruttando i punti più belli di quel magico casale.
Chi conosce Massimiliano e Irene sa anche quanto si vogliono bene, ma spero che dalle mie foto, tutto il loro amore venga fuori. Ho cercato di prenderli in momenti spontanei oltre che in posa, per rendere il servizio fotografico quanto più reale e naturale possibile.
Ho raccolto centinaia di scatti ma poi ho fatto una selezione di circa 50 foto, che ho infine modificato leggermente, utilizzando biancho e nero, seppia e, nel caso delle foto a colori, qualche spruzzo di contrasto o modifica di colori e luce molto leggeri.
Di lì a poche settimane, come vi dicevo, è nata Emma: una dolcissima e bellissima bimba capellona che spero presto di poter fotografare!
