The Cardinal Quarry - Lightpainting on Hive

Hi there,

Back to this location I visited in January with my mate Flavien. At that time, we were not alone and we had to please everyone (that means not take too much time taking pictures during the trip).

For our second visit this week, just the two of us :) As we're on the same page, it's really convenient.

While Flavien was doing his thing using candles at the ventilation system close to an entrance, I decided to move a bit deeper into the quarry to find something that could inspire me. My first stop was at this nice path which I decided to work with using my usual color combination :

WHAT IS LIGHTPAINTING?

Lightpainting is a photographic technique in which exposures are made by moving a hand-held light source while taking a long exposure photograph, either to illuminate a subject or to shine a point of light directly at the camera, or by moving the camera itself during exposure. Nothing is added or removed in post processing.
