There's a popular saying that says;
A photographer's gear doesn't define the photographer’s ability.
This means no camera gear is too small to make something big. Don't get me wrong, I know what it likes to shoot with a high-end camera either commercially or for a test shoot and no doubt low-end gear is nothing compared to high-end gear. But what about when you don’t have such gear or you were cut up in disappointing scenarios, what do you do? what pops into your mind? That leads me to today's discussion.
I'm @cleevesh welcome to my blog ❤️
It was a sunny Sunday I got a call from a close friend who happened to be a model as well, she called and asked if I was going to be available for a shoot for her birthday which I couldn't decline because it was going to put a smile on her face if I did say yes and yes, I accepted even though I was blankly not ready. Then I decided to think about what to do to pull this through
I mean I didn't want to fail her and also myself. Then I decided to improvise.😃
THE IMPROVISATION
WHAT I NEEDED | IMPROVISATION |
---|---|
- | - |
SPEED LIGHT | NATURAL LIGHT |
STUDIO | ANY LOCATION |
DIGITAL CAMERA | PHONE |
So instead of the usual photoshoot setup I decided to do something like a mobile photography.
So I called her to meet me at a certain location and when them came I saw her, right on time like she need the pictures desperately.
When she was done styling we proceeded to look for a location which was a tough one, after a long walk we came across a quite subtle area in a bank and it was perfect because there was a natural light directly coming into that quiet, and the walls where so clean (it looked so much like a backdrop) so we settle there and started the shoot.
Thanks for reading, I hope to see you in my next post.
