The Overgrown Ruins Of A 16th Century Church

Hi Everyone

This is a collection of shots taken a few days ago while I was wandering around an area of the Fife countryside called Kemback.

Kemback is a very small hamlet situated in some picturesque Scottish countryside.

The main reason I visited the area was to try and get some good shots of The Kemback waterfall.

There is a road behind the falls that leads to an old churchyard. As I walked up the road I stopped to get a shot of this old stone wall which has been smashed by a falling tree.

This leaf was lying on the ground near the smashed wall, since it is not Autumn I wonder if this leaf is all that remains of the fallen tree?

This old church was built in 1582.

At this time of year there is some wonderful overgrowth growing out of the old stonework.

This grave is not normally open...I found it kind of spooky that it was wide open this time. It looks like something from a hammer horror set or from a rpg where a boss undead character spawns...

These railings are possibly from the 1760 enlargement of the church. I would guess it takes at least 200 years from something to get this rusty...

These beautiful purple wild flowers are quite abundant here.
