Monarch Butterfly: up close and personal

These butterflies are common in Summer in New Zealand but very hard to get up close to photograph, as they fly away as soon as you get near them. They come out from a chrysalis on Swan plants and live about 70 days.
Maybe this one was not camera shy or asleep because it hardly moved!
