Who said bulky fatty cars can't be sporty?

Well, whoever said that has not yet driven a Mercedes Ml 63 AMG... Until today I hadn't driven one either, but I finally got the chance.

I'm not a fan of Mercs when it comes to sports cars, or better said vehicles that have sport valances, cuz the fastest I drove were BMWs...

This fatty beast belongs to a friend of mine. He's the fresh owner of it for a couple of months now. The SUV is a 2008 ML 63 AMG model, hopefully not mistaking with the production year, and it's such a beast.

Sporting a 6.2 normally aspirated V8 petrol engine that develops 510 HP and around 800 NM of torque, the car is everything you need around here, both comfy and agile at the same time.

No turbo means no lag... Well, almost no lag, it's a 2008 model after all.

The only problem with this car is taxes, maintenance costs and fuel consumption. Other than that it is a hell of a reliable car, especially the engine, very comfortable(duh, it's a Merc) and quite good looking I'd say.

I wanted to emphasize the size of it so much in this post because it's amazing how well it is handling corners, you almost couldn't tell the difference between a sports saloon and this ML 63 AMG.

The sound coming from these double pipes is insane. Proper non turbo V8. It kind of sounds better than an American V8, you know ...;).

So, this was my first time in an AMG and it was a great experience. As I said, costs are insane for this model but so is the driving experience. That's about it for now, hope everyone has a great day and see you in the next post.

Thanks for your attention,
Adrian
