SWEAT, SPACE AND SIMPLICITY

Now that I think about it again, my mum! Yes, she is the one I got most of these inbuilt minimalist lifestyle from. When I saw this weeks topic, she was the first person that came to my mind because this would be something she will have a lot to talk about.

Early this year, I had plans of taking my homework outs seriously and for the first three months everything was going as planned but things took a different route when I gained admission into the university. Well, for what it was worth, those first three months felt really great because I was really proud of myself seeing how I could be consistent with my workouts for over 90 days.

I started the year off well and that encouraged me to keep going even on days when I felt like it won’t hurt if I skipped a day. The workouts kept getting harder as the days go by although simpler to execute because my body was already adjusting to it. I was required to make use of a mat for most of them but sadly I couldn’t get one for myself. But during the second month of my routine, my siblings and I visited my mom and when she saw how dedicated I was to my workout, she bought a mat and that even encouraged my sister to join us in the daily workout.

The good thing was, the mat was foldable so it didn’t really occupy too much space. Once we were done, we will just fold it back and keep it at a corner of the room. Besides the mat, I actually had need for a dumbbell but there was no way I could get that at that point because I needed money for other things, I mean I still do, so that was a no no. Not having a mat didn’t stop my workout and same goes for the dumbbell. It didn’t change much because I still got the results I wanted and to be honest, I felt really great about myself during those times.

I mean I felt fit, healthier and even prettier, hehe. I was more confident about myself then (I still am though) and I really miss those times. I do have plans of resuming my home workouts but that will be after I have completely settled down at school. As for the things I need for my workout, well, I do know how to keep things where they fit so I don’t think it will cause a clutter in anyway even if I had most of the things I need for my workout. I just have to make sure I fix them where they need to be. And most especially, I believe they will serve as motivation for me to keep up with my home workout routines.

I will only start seeing them as clutters when I no longer have need for them. But for the main time, I make do of what I have and that is just the app on my phone for directions on how to carry out those workouts right. Besides that, I don’t have anything cluttering up my space. Hopefully one day I’d get some necessary workout tools but for now, I’m going really minimal but effective and efficient, hehe.

The goal is to keep my blood flowing just right, my muscles in good shape, and my heart in the right condition. It worked really well for me back then and I’m definitely going to start again when I get the opportunity which I know I have to create myself, hehe.

That’s all, I do hope you enjoy my #kiss. Thanks for stopping by 😘.
