¡Hola! Mi nombre es Douglexis, pero la mayoría de mis amigos y familiares me llaman Dou o Dougle, ya que es muchísimo más fácil de pronunciar. Tengo 24 años y soy de Venezuela, Estado Aragua. 👋 Conocí HIVE por medio de una amiga que llevaba un tiempo recomendando esta plataforma pero por alguna u otra razón no había iniciado. Hasta que por fin me animé, estuve investigando y leyendo y lo que vi me gustó muchísimo. Estoy muy emocionada por iniciar esta nueva etapa en este ecosistema.
❤️ Ahora les contaré un poco sobre mi vida, mis gustos y el contenido que espero compartir con ustedes en mi blog.
Soy estudiante de arquitectura, aunque en un principio inicié la universidad estudiando ingeniería civil, pronto me di cuenta de que no era lo mío y tomé una de las mejores decisiones de mi vida la cual fue cambiarme a la carrera de arquitectura. 🏙️ 🎂Mis estudios se vieron interrumpidos en el año 2020 durante la pandemia, ya que las clases virtuales se me dificultaron principalmente por el servicio de internet que tenía en ese entonces. Sin embargo, en ese tiempo decidí sacar provecho y formarme en mi otra pasión: la pastelería. Realicé mi carrera de Maestro Pastelero, Sub Chef Pastelero y finalmente me gradué como Chef Pastelero Internacional.
La pastelería es algo que me fascina y que a la vez se me da muy fácil, pienso que es algo que fue hecho para mí, o más bien que yo fui hecha para ella. Mi afición por la pastelería inició en mi adolescencia; en mis tiempos libres realizaba recetas que veía en internet con ayuda de algunos utensilios que mis papás me habían comprado y luego degustábamos en familia.
🎂 A principios del año 2020 realicé mis primeros talleres de repostería y luego durante el año 2020 y 2022 realicé la carrera de pastelería profesional. ✨

Paralelamente a mis estudios pasteleros, inicié un emprendimiento con mi novio, llamado DoulcecitosO&D, en el cual inicialmente vendimos galletas y otros dulces, pero a medida que avanzaba en mis estudios e iba aprendiendo cada vez más cosas, se iban introduciendo más productos a nuestro catálogo. Pronto lo más pedido eran tortas de cumpleaños y otras celebraciones.
A inicios de 2022, mi universidad retomó la modalidad presencial, y regresé a mis estudios de arquitectura. 🏛️ En todo este tiempo me di cuenta que si bien la pastelería es como mi alma gemela, la arquitectura también es parte de mi y es una carrera que me apasiona muchísimo y que no puedo dejar atrás. Actualmente estoy cursando el 8vo semestre de la carrera y estoy muy emocionada por seguir aprendiendo. Me intereso mucho por la ecología y la sustentabilidad y es algo que en un futuro espero implementar en mis diseños.
Con el retorno a la universidad, y mi traslado a la residencia en otra ciudad, tuvimos que pausar nuestro emprendimiento ya que el tiempo del que disponía no era suficiente para cubrir con la demanda de los pedidos que nos realizaban.
Poco a poco pude adaptarme y busqué la manera de mantener un equilibrio entre el trabajo y los estudios. Ya que mi amor a la pastelería no me permitía mantenerme totalmente apartada de ella. Así pues, actualmente estudio casi todos los días de la semana y los fines de semana realizamos galletas y otros postres individuales para vender y pedidos extra que nos realicen. También trabajamos full en fechas especiales como Navidad, San Valentín, Día de la madre, Día del Padre y Día del niño.
Una de las cosas que más me gusta hacer es mi propia torta de cumpleaños, porque en ella puedo expresar la creatividad en mí sin límites y poniendo un poquito de todo lo que me gusta en cada detalle.

Aunque mi especialidad son los postres, me gusta muchísimo también la gastronomía en general y hacer nuevas recetas para compartir en familia. También sé un poco de panadería que he aprendido en los estudios de chef.
🐕 Otro aspecto muy característico que me define es el amor infinito que tengo hacia casi todos los animales (no me agradan todos los insectos y les tengo pavor a los reptiles y anfibios). Desde que tengo 4 años de edad, he tenido perritos como mascota y desde que tengo uso de razón mis papás nos han inculcado el amor, el valor y el respeto hacia los animales. 🐕 Actualmente tenemos 2 perritos y 2 cobayas que son mi vida entera. 🐁

📚 Amo con mi vida leer. Leer para mi es un escape de la realidad que muchas veces no es muy agradable. Lo que más me gusta son las novelas de casi todos los géneros, en especial el romance y la fantasía.
🎨 También me gusta mucho dibujar y colorear aunque no sea para nada una experta en ello. Me gusta hacer listas y ejercicio, me encanta ir al cine 📽️ y a la playa, amo la navidad y las películas animadas y soy fiel creyente de Dios.
El contenido que compartiré con ustedes será mayormente sobre repostería y pastelería; técnicas, recetas y tips sobre este nicho, así como recetas de comidas que realice. También me gustaría compartir mis experiencias como estudiante de arquitectura y los conocimientos que he ido adquiriendo en esta carrera.
Otra cosa que me gusta mucho es viajar y conocer nuevos lugares, de los cuales podría compartir mis anécdotas.
Y bueno, ese es un pequeño resumen de lo que soy y quién soy. Espero que mi contenido sea de su agrado. Hello! My name is Douglexis, but most of my friends and family call me Dou or Dougle, since it's so much easier to pronounce. Until I finally got encouraged, I was researching and reading and what I saw I really liked. I am very excited to start this new stage in this ecosystem.
❤️ Now I will tell you a little about my life, my interests and the content that I hope to share with you on my blog.
I am an architecture student, although at first I started university studying civil engineering, I soon realized that it was not my thing and I made one of the best decisions of my life, which was to switch to architecture. 🏙️ 🎂 My studies were interrupted in 2020 during the pandemic, since virtual classes were difficult for me mainly due to the internet service I had at the time. However, at that time I decided to take advantage and train in my other passion: pastry. I completed my career as Pastry Master, Sub Pastry Chef and finally graduated as International Pastry Chef.
Patisserie is something that fascinates me and at the same time is very easy for me, I think it is something that was made for me, or rather that I was made for it. My love for pastry began in my adolescence; In my spare time I made recipes that I saw on the internet with the help of some utensils that my parents had bought me and then we tasted as a family.
🎂 At the beginning of 2020 I did my first pastry workshops and then during 2020 and 2022 I did my professional pastry career. ✨

One of my favorite desserts of my entire career
Parallel to my pastry studies, I started a business with my boyfriend, called DoulcecitosO&D, in which we initially sold cookies and other sweets, but as I progressed in my studies and learned more and more things, more products were added to our catalog . Soon the most requested were birthday cakes and other celebrations.
At the beginning of 2022, my university resumed the face-to-face modality, and I returned to my architecture studies. 🏛️ In all this time I realized that although pastry is like my soul mate, architecture is also part of me and it is a career that I am very passionate about and that I cannot leave behind. I am currently in the 8th semester of my degree and I am very excited to continue learning. I am very interested in ecology and sustainability and it is something that I hope to implement in my designs in the future.
With the return to the university, and my transfer to the residence in another city, we had to pause our venture since the time available to us was not enough to cover the demand of the orders that were made to us.
Little by little I was able to adapt and I looked for a way to maintain a balance between work and studies. Since my love for pastry did not allow me to stay completely away from it. So, currently I study almost every day of the week and on the weekends we make cookies and other individual desserts to sell.
One of the things I like to make the most is my own birthday cake, because in it I can express my creativity without limits and putting a little bit of everything I like in every detail.

Although my specialty is desserts, I also really like gastronomy in general and making new recipes to share with the family. I also know a little about baking that I have learned in chef studies.
🐕 Another very characteristic aspect that defines me is the infinite love I have for almost all animals (I don't like all insects and I am terrified of reptiles and amphibians). Since I was 4 years old, I have had puppies as pets and for as long as I can remember my parents have instilled in us love, value and respect for animals. 🐕 We currently have 2 puppies and 2 guinea pigs that are my whole life. 🐁

📚 I love reading with my life. Reading for me is an escape from reality that is often not very pleasant. What I like the most are novels of almost all genres, especially romance and fantasy.
🎨 I also really like drawing and coloring even though I'm not an expert in it at all. I like to do lists and exercise, I love going to the movies 📽️ and to the beach, I love Christmas and animated movies and I am a faithful believer in God.
The content that I will share with you will be mostly about baking and pastry; techniques, recipes and tips on this niche, as well as food recipes that I make. I would also like to share my experiences as an architecture student and the knowledge that I have been acquiring in this career.
Another thing that I really like is traveling and discovering new places, about which I could share my anecdotes.
And well, that is a small summary of what I am and who I am. I hope my content is to your liking.
