Recientemente, mi hija cumplió 18 años. Es sorprendente como el tiempo puede ser tan fugaz.
Puedo cerrar los ojos y recordar el día de su nacimiento, cuando estuve en la sala de espera del hospital esperando que ella saliera del quirófano. Los nervios me mataban, ya que un nacimiento puede ser el momento más feliz del mundo, pero también puede representar una tragedia, tanto para la madre como para la criatura.
Gracias a Dios, todo salió bien y pude verla a penas minutos después de su nacimiento. Era un ángel.
Recordando los momentos que vivimos esperando que ella se gestara en el vientre de su madre, y su posterior nacimiento fue que me inspiré para crear esta canción.
En uno de los versos digo "náuseas nocturnas cuidaban tu pureza...", esta idea la tuve recordando que una vez leí que esos vómitos y náuseas que sufren la mayoría de las mujeres durante el embarazo, son una protección natural del organismo para proteger el feto en gestación. ya que, vomitando, las mujeres pueden expulsar algún alimento que pudiera dañar al bebé.
El resto de la canción se explica por si sola.
El coro por ejemplo, es un grito de alivio cuando por fin pude decir que "Michelle" estaba ya entre nosotros, sana y salva.
"Ya estás aquí"
Creo que esta es una sensación que todos quienes somos padres hemos experimentado y espero que puedan identificarse con la letra de esta canción, con el sentimiento que pude expresar en mis palabras y en la manera de entonarlas.

Recently, my daughter turned 18 years old. It's amazing how time can be so fleeting.
I can close my eyes and remember the day she was born when I was in the hospital waiting room waiting for her to come out of the operating room. Nerves killed me, since birth can be the happiest moment in the world, but it can also represent a tragedy for both the mother and the child.*
Thank God, everything went well and I could see her just minutes after she was born. She was an angel.
Remembering the moments we lived waiting for her to gestate in her mother's womb, and her subsequent birth inspired me to create this song.
In one of the verses I say "nocturnal nausea took care of your purity...", I had this idea remembering that I once read that the vomiting and nausea that most women suffer during pregnancy are natural protection of the body to protect the gestating fetus. since, by vomiting, women can expel some food that could harm the baby.
The rest of the song is self-explanatory.
The chorus, for example, is a cry of relief when I was finally able to say that "Michelle" was already among us, safe and sound.
"You are here already!"
I think this is a feeling that all of us who are parents have experienced and I hope that you can identify with the lyrics of this song, with the feeling that I was able to express in my words and in the way I sang them.
