Here are 5 tracks from old synth records for you to enjoy this Friday!

I breathed in some dust this morning to share some bits from the piles.

Enjoy.

Gil Trythall
"Folsom Prison Blues"
1973

Country moog! What a concept...This is probably the standout track on the record (possibly because it has the vocoder vocals) but there are some great ones here, wildwood flower, harper valley pta and...yakety moog? There is another volume he does called "nashville gold."

The Copper Plated Integrated Circuit
"Revolution"
1969

Here's a cool early synth record from the 60s which has some great original songs on it- the best part of this Beatles cover is definitely the freaky intro!

Les Baxter
"Prelude in E Minor" (chopin)
1969

Laid back Chopin piece from this groovy drums and synth record of classical style music from the late 60s. I bet Les Baxter put out a disco record a few years later... actually, im peeping his bio real quick and it looks like he did horror movies mostly in the 70s. but this album is good, why is it that drums sounded way better on records back in the 60s and 70s compared to today?

Electric Tommy
"Pinball Wizard"
1975

Im not a big who fan, but i like synth and lounge covers of lots of popular artists that i don't enjoy! Wild record with a funky cover.

Walter Carlos
"Eleanor Rigby"
1972

Compilation record from ms. Carlos featuring a mix of pop songs and some classical numbers. I was trying to find "What's New Pussycat?" But it doesn't seem to exist online so i guess you get another Beatles song here.

As a bonus, i grabbed:

Christopher Scott
"What's new Pussycat?"
1969

Ok here's a version of what's new pussycat?...i also recommend the Dick Hymen version from "age of electronicus" i just found this one first. That record is great. Burt bacharach is cool too, i guess. I like "what the world needs now is love" and "i say a little prayer"... those are all classics where the covers are usually enjoyable. Alfie...nah, you can keep that one.

Thanks for reading, have a nice weekend🎹💿📀
