Ayer me encontré con un álbum en vivo que me dejó muy impresionada por la cantante y su nivel de creatividad y emoción al cantar cada una de las canciones dentro de este álbum, les hablo de la cantante Raye originaria de Londres, quien ha estado ganando la atención de más público por su particular forma de cantar y su gran puesta en escena, cuando les digo que me dejó impresionada es por qué tenía tiempo que no escuchaba a una cantante que fuera otro género musical que no fuera de Pop o Rock, Raye canta R&B y Soul y me hace recordar un poco a la famosa Amy Winehouse por qué tiene un estilo similar de transmitir tanto con su calidad vocal como con las letras de sus canciones.

Encontrarme con su música fue un descubrimiento especial, adoro las canciones que tienen letras dónde se hablan de temas de la vida en general, de los miedos, de la realidad de un ser humano, Raye viniendo de una familia dónde la música siempre estuvo presente fue creciendo aprendiendo de distintos géneros musicales y tocando diferentes instrumentos hasta que fue encontrando su propia voz y esencia en la música. Escucharla cantar es algo que te genera una emoción indescriptible y que te hace sentir cada una de las palabras que deja salir al momento de poner su corazón en el escenario tanto como lo hacía Amy Winehouse quien es una de mis cantantes favoritas pero sin compararlas porque cada una tiene su propio estilo y forma de desenvolverse en las melodías y canciones.

Buscando en Spotify recordé que alguna vez la había guardado en mis favoritos y cuando entre en su perfil me encontré con que acaba de sacar un álbum en vivo desde el Montreux Jazz Festival, este álbum es una recopilación de algunas de sus canciones versionadas al ritmo del Jazz. Es un álbum que cuenta con solo siete canciones pero que transmite de principio a fin una explosión de emociones y de disfrute que tanto agrega la música Jazz, además de que se notó el agrado y la emoción que tenía Raye interpretando cada canción desde su propia emotividad y su característica puesta en escena dónde deslumbra al solo empezar a cantar junto con el grupo que la acompaña. Realmente no conozco mucho del genero del Jazz pero me parece muy bonito y que tiene mucha fuerza y te genera una sensación de emoción al escucharlo, así me pasó cuando termine el álbum completo llevándome la gran sorpresa de preguntarme por qué razón no había escuchado a Raye mucho antes 🥺
