Lo que daría yo por estar ahora mismo en una gran mesa luego de la comida, rodeada de mi familia y amigos, riendo y cantando canciones llenas de energía que me pongan a bailar en la silla. Mirar a todos en la mesa y pensar ¨no necesito nada más¨
Pues esto mismo debió pasar por la mente de C. Tangana (o Pucho, como le llaman los que se sientan con él) cuando ideó su presentación en el espacio de NPR music y lo materializó. Qué obra de arte!
Amanecí alegre y querer entrar en las vibras de fin de semana porque el clima estaba anunciando lluvias, significaba entrar a ver los casi 16 minutos que dura el Tiny Desk Concert de El Madrileño (C. Tangana) y ver La Sobremesa de principio a fin. Los ritmos flamencos y del caribe (saber que existe una relación del álbum al que pertenecen las canciones con mi tierra), la familiaridad que me transmite. La estética cuidada de manera minuciosa que no te hace querer sentarte con ellos a la mesa. Sino que, en efecto, te sientes que estás compartiendo el momento como otro comensal más. Otro invitado a la fiesta que va a compartir espacio, nada más y nada menos que con personas talentosísimas y bien reconocidas en el panorama musical español. Sin dudas, lo tiene todo esta presentación.
Pd: Un artista como Pucho es muy cuidadoso en sus trabajos y ahora que estoy escribiendo esto no paro de pensar en eso. Darle un tratamiento especial a cada material que le entrega a su público (en el cual me incluyo) hace que ahora, pasado un par de años desde su lanzamiento, yo me lo ponga un día cualquiera solo porque sí y por lo que ya conté, claro. Y no solo eso, sino que sienta el deseo de compartirlo con ustedes y ahora quiera hasta hablar de su álbum más reciente, que ya tiene un tiempo. Creo que lo haré.

What I would give to be at a big table right now after the meal, surrounded by my family and friends, laughing and singing energetic songs that get me dancing in my chair. Looking at everyone at the table and thinking ¨I don't need anything else¨.
Well, this must have been what C. Tangana (or Pucho, as those who sit with him call him) had in mind when he came up with his presentation at the NPR music space and made it happen. What a work of art!
I woke up happy and wanting to get into the weekend vibes because the weather was announcing rain, meant going in to see the almost 16 minute long Tiny Desk Concert by El Madrileño (C. Tangana) and watching La Sobremesa from start to finish. The flamenco and Caribbean rhythms (knowing that there is a relationship between the album to which the songs belong and my homeland), the familiarity it transmits to me. The meticulously cared aesthetics that doesn't make you want to sit with them at the table. Rather, in effect, you feel like you are sharing the moment as just another diner. Another guest at the party who is going to share space, nothing more and nothing less than with very talented and well known people in the Spanish music scene. Undoubtedly, this presentation has it all.
PS: An artist like Pucho is very careful in his work and now that I'm writing this I can't stop thinking about it. Giving a special treatment to each material he gives to his public (in which I include myself) makes that now, after a couple of years since its release, I put it on any given day just for the sake of it and for what I already said, of course. And not only that, but I feel the desire to share it with you and now I even want to talk about his most recent album, which has been around for a while. I think I will.
