If there is something I have to thank Karol G for at this moment is that she has made me listen again to the music of my childhood hero Andrea Bocelli. Most of my colleagues in lyrical singing do not like this great tenor, for them, his style is too pop for an academic singer, but I do not listen to them, time proves me right and Andrea is one of the most successful tenors worldwide and for many years. Today I share with you three of my favorite songs.

Si hay algo que debo agradecer a Karol G en este momento es que ha logrado que vuelva a escuchar música de mi héroe de la infancia Andrea Bocelli. A la mayoría de mis compañeros en el canto lírico no les gusta este gran tenor, para ellos, su estilo es muy pop para un cantante académico, pero no les hago caso, el tiempo me da la razón y Andrea es uno de los tenores más exitosos a nivel mundial y desde hace muchos años. Hoy les comparto tres de mis canciones favoritas.

I don't like Karol G's version, but I don't think it's bad either, I just wasn't impressed at all, the original version of Marta Sanchez is a little hard to beat. Since I was a kid it seemed strange to me that they would combine a pop voice with a lyric tenor voice, but Marta Sanchez had enough power to accompany Andrea and not be overshadowed, so much so that to this day it is one of the favorite songs of Spanish-speaking musicians. In this version of 2024, what has really made an impact on me is the impeccable voice of Andrea Bocelli, as now his age is very advanced and it seems that they are powerful treble still do not know it 🤣 If this version is the best way to make young people fall in love with this beautiful lyrics, well, welcome.

Voy a comenzar con esta colaboración que está dando de qué hablar desde que se estrenó hace solo cuatro días. No me gusta la versión de Karol G, pero no considero que sea mala tampoco, lo que pasa es que no me ha impresionado para nada, la versión original de Marta Sánchez es un poco difícil de superar. Desde niño me pareció extraño que unieran una voz pop con una voz de tenor lírico, pero Marta Sánchez tenía la suficiente potencia para acompañar a Andrea y no ser opacada, tanto que hasta el día de hoy es una de las canciones favoritas de los músicos de habla hispana. En esta versión de 2024, lo que realmente me ha causado impacto es la impecable voz de Andrea Bocelli, ya que ahora su edad es muy avanzada y parece que son potentes agudos aún no lo saben 🤣 Si esta versión es la mejor manera de enamorar a los jóvenes de esta hermosa letra, pues bienvenida sea.

I think it was 2007 when I bought Sarah Brightman's Symphony album, she was never my favorite singer, but she had a song called Passion that captivated me. What I never imagined was to come across this song Canto Della Terra. From the moment it began my skin tingled and when Andre Bocelli entered in the chorus I came in tears with the beauty and strength of this music and harmony. Beyond the tenor's voice, a very good choir also begins to sing to accompany them, and by the end of the song, Sarah Brightman transforms herself into a true Soprano, away from pop and gives us one of the best vocal interpretations of this musical genre. This song is PERFECT.

Creo que era 2007 cuando compré el álbum Symphony de Sarah Brightman, nunca fue mi cantante favorita, pero tenía una canción llamada Pasión que me cautivó. Lo que jamás imaginé fue encontrarme con esta canción Canto Della Terra. Desde que comenzó se me estremeció la piel y cuando entró Andre Bocelli en el coro me vine en lágrimas con la belleza y la fuerza de esta música y armonía. Más allá de la voz del tenor, también comienza a cantar un coro muy bueno para acompañarlos, y ya para terminar la canción, Sarah Brightman se transforma en una verdadera Soprano, alejada del pop y nos regalan una de las mejores interpretaciones vocales de este género musical. Esta canción es PERFECTA.

I was really very little when this song came out. It is one of the first songs I remember from commercial music and an album that was played a lot at home, so it is one of my influences in taste and musical style to which I dedicate myself today. This song brings out the best in me, my best memories, I think of my house, my family, my childhood and others, obviously the Spanish version is the one that captivated me, but I still share with you the original in Italian and the Hispanic one, it is also in English, listen to it as you listen to it, it is a song that everyone should have in their playlists.

Realmente estaba muy pequeño cuando salió esta canción. Es una de las primeras que recuerdo de la música comercial y un álbum que sonó mucho en casa, de eso es una de mis influencias en gustos y estilo musical al cual me dedico hoy. No solo se oía en mi casa, sino en la casa del resto de mi familia y amigos, ya que siempre he estado rodeado del mundo coral. Esta canción saca lo mejor de mí, mis mejores recuerdos, pienso en mi casa, mi familia, mi infancia y demás, evidentemente la versión en español es la que me cautivó, pero igual les comparto la original en italiano y la hispana, también está en inglés, la escuchen como la escuchen, es una canción que deberán tener todos en sus playlists.

In this video they sing the beautiful song Somos Novios, which for me is one of the most important and outstanding duets of this bolero. I hope you also like the great tenor Andrea Bocelli, who has given us a lifetime of well-sung hits, definitely one of the artists that inspire me the most and that I admire the most. I wish I had the opportunity to meet him, after having met Plácido Domingo now I feel that everything is possible ❤️
