Simply Three - Classical Crossover String Trio

Hola TTT Tuners! Hoping your day is filled with sweet, fun, and lovely melodies! It's been a fabulous Tuesday for us up here. We were out most of the day for our little guy's vet appointment and other errands. The sun's heat was scorching and our wee boy was restless each time we were out of the car. He is not very fond of the hot weather.

Anyway, when we came home, I thought of searching for calming music. I usually play instrumental tunes in the afternoon as I find them relaxing, especially when I'm tired. During my search, I stumbled upon Simply Three, an amazing violin/bass/cello trio - Glen McDaniel (violin), Nick Villalobos (bass), and Zack Clark who plays the cello. They are all from Arizona.

Below is one of their original compositions that I first listened to mid-afternoon. The video cover image got my attention so I clicked on it, played, and bam! I liked it!👇

Simply Three - Feel That Fire

The music video is quite inventive and captivating with the gorgeous blue sky backdrop. They immediately reminded me of Music Travel Love which I have also shared in one of my TTT posts in the past. I knew they had more and I had to listen to them.

And check out the next that got me hummin' and dancing (well, almost)!👇

Simply Three ft. Brooklyn Duo - Don't Stop Believin' (Journey Cover)

Don't Stop Believin' is one of my favorite singles and this electrifying cover by Simply Three collaborating with Brooklyn Duo made me feel like dancing. I even replayed it 3-4 times, lol!

This is a fantastic collaboration and I learned that they also performed a cover of Evanescene's My Immortal. Both bands clicked and it would not be surprising if they will do more collabs in the future.

And the third tune I'm sharing is one of their original compositions.👇

Simply Three - Rain

Accordingly, this was inspired by one of the episodes of "The House" and I quote further:

There was a beautiful chord progression at the end of the episode that inspired him to create the beginning cello hook that starts Rain. From there, we wrote the melodies that bring the song to life. The chorus melody was actually written a while before Zack wrote the hook for Rain, but we felt that it fit the song perfectly once we began writing it. We named it Rain because the beginning cello hook that Zack plays reminded us of raindrops. Since we're from Arizona, rain has a special place in our hearts because it doesn’t rain a lot here.¹

I was impressed while listening to and watching their other music videos. Each of them is great with their instruments. I did learn that all three of them have a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance.²

They did covers of songs from different genres and artists like Adele, Michael Jackson, Queen, Toto, Coldplay, etc. They can hop from one genre to another and yes, they shoot their videos on scenic spots which add to the overall aesthetic of their performances.

So there you go with my recommendations for Three Tune Tuesday, the music initiative by Ablaze. Yep, I included them on my music playlist. Do you like any?
