Poder vivir la experiencia de ver una presentación, de principio a fin, de Voz Veis era uno de mis pendientes en mi bucket list musical, y digo de principio a fin porque años atrás pude solo disfrutar el escuchar un par de canciones en vivo de estos espectaculares cantantes. En ese momento vivía en Valencia, terminando la Licenciatura en Publicidad y quedé con mi compañera de cuarto en que iríamos a ver a Voz Veis a la Feria de Valencia, yo estaba superemocionada, pero a mi amiga ese día se le complicó todo y llegamos muy tarde, aunque debo admitir que amé escucharlos, aunque fuera brevemente. ¿Y saben qué? Luego de ellos se presentó Jerry Rivera ¡Genial!
Cuando vi el anuncio de este concierto de Voz Veis, sabía que tenía que ir, sentí que era ¡Ahora o nunca!, aunque ellos se despiden del escenario musical y luego retornan (¡famosos!). Al principio pensé que iría sola, sin embargo, al estar conversando con una prima le comenté sobre el concierto y ella dijo que podría acompañarme y además sumó a otras chicas.
To be able to live the experience of seeing a presentation from beginning to end of Voz Veis was one of my pending in my musical bucket list, and I say from beginning to end because years ago I could only enjoy listening to a couple of songs live of these spectacular singers. At that time I was living in Valencia, finishing my degree in Advertising and I arranged with my roommate that we would go to see Voz Veis at the Feria de Valencia, I was super excited, but my friend that day everything got complicated and we arrived very late, although I must admit that I loved listening to them, even if it was only briefly. And you know what? They were followed by Jerry Rivera, great!
When I saw the announcement of this Voz Veis concert, I knew I had to go, I felt it was now or never, even though they say goodbye to the music scene and then return (famous!). At first I thought I would go alone, however, when I was talking to a cousin I told her about the concert and she said she could go with me and also added other girls.
El día tan esperado estaba cerca y entonces recibí un mensaje de mi prima diciéndome que había corrido la fecha, así que toco esperar un poco más. Llegado el día pasé buscando a mi prima y las otras chicas nos esperarían en el Hotel Maremares, la entrada estaba pautada para las 8:00 p.m. ¡El 7 de diciembre podría disfrutar del show de Voz Veis! Nos encontramos y tuvimos bastante suerte para conseguir un buen puesto de estacionamiento porque el lugar estaba casi repleto.
Hicimos una pequeña cola para entrar y que nos colocaran el respectivo brazalete, es nuestro caso era verde por las entradas generales. Ahora les cuento lo bueno, lo malo y lo feo de este concierto...
The long awaited day was near and then I received a message from my cousin telling me that she had moved the date, so I had to wait a little longer. When the day arrived I went looking for my cousin and the other girls who would be waiting for us at the Maremares Hotel, the entrance was scheduled for 8:00 p.m. On December 7th I could enjoy the Voz Veis show! We met and were quite lucky to get a good parking spot because the place was almost full.
We made a small queue to get in and get our respective bracelet, in our case it was green for the general admission tickets. Now I tell you the good, the bad and the ugly of this concert....
Lo Bueno
Amo a Voz Veis siempre me ha parecido que muchas de sus canciones son poesía pura, con detalles románticos, son unos maestros de la polifonía. Cante a viva voz los éxitos que más amo, recuerdo el golpe de adrenalina que sentí cuando abrieron su espectáculo con ¿Qué me has hecho tú? y lo mucho que me gustó escuchar Segundo plato. Literalmente enloquecí con esta canción, la canté con todo el corazón.
I love Voz Veis, I have always found many of their songs to be pure poetry, with romantic details, they are masters of polyphony. I remember the adrenaline rush I felt when they opened their show with ¿Qué me has hecho tú? and how much I loved listening to Segundo plato. I literally went crazy with this song, I sang it with all my heart.
Un show de Voz Veis es una manera de viajar en el tiempo, recordar una Venezuela en la cual los dramáticos de las 9 eran el pan nuestro de lunes a viernes. Cosita Rica y todo lo que representó la música de Voz Veis para la estructura de esta novela.
A Voz Veis show is a way to travel back in time, to remember a Venezuela in which the 9 o'clock dramas were our bread and butter from Monday to Friday. Cosita Rica and all that Voz Veis' music represented for the structure of this novela.
La iluminación del evento me pareció realmente sorprendente y en la pantalla de fondo iban colocando imágenes que daban más vida a cada canción, amé con locura las polifonías en las canciones sin música de fondo, realmente sorprendente la sinergia que poseen estos cantantes que se notan se han vuelto hermanos en el transcurso de sus años de carrera artística.
The lighting of the event seemed to me really amazing and the background screen was placing images that gave more life to each song, I loved the polyphonies in the songs without background music, really amazing synergy that these singers who have become brothers in the course of their years of artistic career.
Lo Malo
Si bien la entrada del evento fue abierta a las 8:00 pm, el grupo se presentó a la 1:00 am, en realidad si lo vemos desde la pura realidad, nos vendieron un concierto pautado para el 7 de diciembre, pero que comenzó el 8 de diciembre muy, pero muy temprano.
Although the entrance to the event was opened at 8:00 pm, the group showed up at 1:00 am, in reality if we look at it from the pure reality, we were sold a concert scheduled for December 7, but it started very, very early on December 8.
Lo Peor
En determinado momento, mientras esperábamos, el animador del evento dijo que Voz Veis se presentaría en 10 minutos, lo cual resultó ser una total mentira.
En ocasiones algunas personas en el público comenzaban a llamar a Voz Veis, buscando con esto que salieran a escena y muchos otros nos uníamos al llamado, entonces los organizadores encendían las luces y las apuntaban en dirección a nosotros para hacernos callar.
At a certain point, while we were waiting, the event's entertainer said that Voz Veis would be performing in 10 minutes, which turned out to be a total lie.
At times some people in the audience would start calling Voz Veis, trying to get them to come on stage and many others would join the call, then the organizers would turn on the lights and point them in our direction to shut us up.
Disfruté mucho escuchar mis canciones favoritas y poder cantar con ellos, sin embargo, la organización del evento dejó mucho que desear.
Gracias a Dios, el buen humor siempre puede salvarte y eso sí que no nos faltó, nos reímos un montón pensando en teorías por las cuales Voz Veis no llegaba a la hora, creo que hasta dormimos un poco, pero luego nos despertábamos con las geniales canciones. ¡La vida va mejor cuando ríes!
Por mi parte seguiré buscando momentos de esparcimiento, ya he decidido disfrutar de cada una de las oportunidades que se me presente para quedarme con lo bueno de cada uno de esos momentos.

I really enjoyed listening to my favorite songs and being able to sing with them, however, the organization of the event left much to be desired.
Thank God, good humor can always save you and we were not lacking that, we laughed a lot thinking about theories why Voz Veis did not arrive on time, I think we even slept a little, but then we woke up to the great songs. Life goes better when you laugh!
For my part I will continue to look for moments of relaxation, I have already decided to enjoy each of the opportunities that come my way to keep the good of each of those moments.
