Mamela - MobeyDick Feat Dan Roux - Live @ Salt and Sage 3

Mamela was originally written, performed and recorded by Jasper Dick many moons ago and it took this wild and magical evening at the 3rd Salt & Sage Open Stage for him to dust it off and ROCK it out with myself and the incredible Dan Roux.

Mamela speaks to us all at this poignant time in our lives. The lyrics will move you in so many ways, but we want you to figure out how it makes you feel about the powers that be and the current political climate.

Massive shoutouts to our hosts Matt Roux, Dan Roux and the Salt & Sage team for giving us a stage to sing our hearts out and rock the crowd!

Special thanks to @Zakludick for your awesome videography!

Lyrics:
Your Father died a Poor Man, my friend
He struggled to survive
They said it would get better, in the end
But the jobs did not arrive

Mamela, my brother
Can you feel the anger that burns within you?
They've let us down

They say that they will help you today
But you will not forget
They've made you the same promise before
They have not kept it yet

Mamela, my brother
Can you feel the anger that burns within you?
They let us down.

They tell us lies, don't believe them
If they won't lead us, the. We don't need them
We can fix it, if we work together
Don't let them make us, hate each other

Mamela, my brother
Can you feel the anger that burns within you?
They let us down.
