I picked up my guitar to doodle for just a moment, thought about it being tuesday morning here in Chicago, and thought i can join in with ablaze@ablaze, blanchy@blanchy, and tengolotodo@tengolotodo, and sagesigma@sagesigma for a three tune tuesday. There are many others contributing now and i just want to say whats up.

All videos shared from youtube. I dont own it, i just jam it. Screw youtube but for now theyre still a boss.

NICKELBACK

A band that has been rockin since the early 2000s and have had their fair share of fame, fortune, and bad press. They are notorious for a large fan base but also a lot of haters. Being a lover of rock and metal as my favorite, this style of music fits right into my daily listening delight. Although i bounce and skip around, there were a couple years where i didnt listen to any Nickelback at all.

They are still rockin though and just came out with a brand new song called....

San Quentin

  • The famous San Quentin prison in California i believe, is the subject of this new song. I was skeptical but its a decent jam. Not my favorite from the 3 i will select here, but it feels the most relevant as its new, and sticks to their main style of music. Riffs, quick beat, moderate vocals. Not too soft, not too heavy

Savin Me

  • Ahhh, now this one takes me back. Could be my favorite from them as a band. This is more of their soft, ballad style kind of song. Gentle guitar intro, rings out nicely. And the lyrics are quite beautiful and deep too. Reminds me of a concert i went to in roughly 2014, with a friend, his girl, and a girl that i was trying to hit on. Good times, back when Quack was a Mack.

How you Remind me

  • Now this may be their biggest jam, when they were young and fresh to the scene. Classic Nickelback with a mix of slow parts, solid vocals, and some heavy guitar in between. Feels good to hear this song once in a while, ot really is a classic.

The singer Chad has really grown up since, but his legacy as a good frontman lives on still. Theyre touring this year maybe, id love to see them soon. Im doing the little solo from Savin me on guitar right now, its kind of easy. Been a while since i jammed so nice to pick up this axe. I was close to uploading on 3speak to get a short clip of me jammin but havent had the courage yet. It'll be just a quick noodle most likely, nothing too serious but its on the to do list, so cheers to that.

Cheers to you though, more or less. Rock on.
