It is a mockery of the repetitive that is the pop music, constantly uses samples of pop music of the 70's and 80's to which lowers the pitch or stretches, making it sound slower and serious, well that's the short explanation haha, plus it became popular through the internet as a kind of Meme, not for laughing off if not treated with much adoration, being one of the few new genres created in the decade from 2010 to 2020, and also enjoys being the only one where all its marketing and popularity began purely on the internet, without having to do promotional concerts and sales of physical discs, is a very peculiar genre as you can see.
Es una burla de lo repetitivo que es la música pop, constantemente usa samples de música pop de los 70 y 80 a los cuales les baja el pitch o estira, haciendo que suene más lenta y grave, bueno esa es la explicación corta jajá, además de que se popularizo por medio de la internet como una especie de Meme, no para reir si no tratado con mucha adoración, siendo uno de los pocos nuevos géneros creados en la década del 2010 al 2020, y también goza de ser el único donde toda su comercialización y popularidad comenzó puramente en la internet, sin tener que hacer conciertos promocionales y ventas de discos en físico, es un género muy peculiar como ya vez.

The Vaporwave emerged in 2010 as a kind of experimental electronica where its main objective was a mockery and kind of criticism towards the repetitive music, being the first album of this style titled "Chuck Person's Eccojams Vol. 1" by the artist Oneohtrix Point Never, where the album cover was an eighties game of Sega dolphins, and using samples of the 70s, 80s and 90s. The second album pillar of the Vaporwave scene is the one titled "Far Side Virtual" by James Ferraro, which contains too many pop samples and sounds of 2000's applications like Live Mesenger, plus computer voices and other electronic stuff, where it has as titles references to very popular products in the world like Google, Starbucks, Wifi, Sims, Mac and Suchi.
El Vaporwave surgió en el 2010 como una especie de electrónica experimental donde su objetivo principal era una burla y especie de crítica hacia la música por repetitiva, siendo el primer álbum de este estilo titulado “Chuck Person's Eccojams Vol. 1” del artista Oneohtrix Point Never, donde las caratulas del álbum era un juego ochentero de delfines de Sega, y usando samples de los 70, 80 y 90. El segundo álbum pilar de la escena Vaporwave es aquel titulado “Far Side Virtual” de James Ferraro, el cual contiene demasiados samples pop y sonidos de aplicaciones de los 2000 como Live Mesenger, además de voces de computadoras y demás cosas electrónicas, donde tiene de títulos referencias de productos muy populares en el mundo como Google, Starbucks, Wifi, Sims, Mac y Suchi.
BLANK BANSHEE
His real name is Patrick Driscoll, he is a Canadian artist, musician and producer. He became very popular in 2012 with his album Blank Banshee 0, which was very well received all over the internet, since it combined many urban styles such as Trap that were emerging those days plus all the stylism and traditional techniques of Vaporwave, resulting in it being popularized as a style called Vaportrap. His music has been described as a balance between abstract ambient and danceable Trap.
Su nombre real es Patrick Driscoll, es un artista canadiense, músico y productor. Se hizo con mucha popularidad en el 2012 con su álbum Blank Banshee 0, el cual fue muy bien recibido por toda la internet, dado que combino muchos estilos urbanos como el Trap que iban surgiendo esos días más todo el estilismo y técnicas tradicionales de Vaporwave, dando lugar a que se haya popularizado como un estilo llamado Vaportrap. Su música ha sido descrita como un balance entre el ambiente abstracto y el Trap bailable
This album brought many new listeners to the world of Vaporwave, something that is greatly appreciated, and inspired many artists to try their hand at this genre, some from its origin in music becoming established as its main genre. It is too accessible for all audiences, this album has a lot of structure similar to urban, plus its pop atmosphere, and its incognito and darkness that gives the handling of samples, without a doubt one of my favorites and may even be your favorite too.
Este álbum trajo muchos nuevos oyentes al mundo de Vaporwave, algo que se agradece muchísimo, e inspiro a muchos artistas a probar en este género, algunos desde su origen en la música quedando establecido como su género principal. Es demasiado accesible para todo público este álbum, tiene mucha estructura similar a lo urbano, además de su ambiente pop, y su incógnita y oscuridad que le da el manejo de samples, sin dudas uno de mis favoritos e incluso puede ser tu favorito también.
ESPRIT 空想
His real name is George Clanton, who is also known by Mirror Kisses, he is an American musician, singer and composer well known for his participation in the electronic and vaporwave scene. He has his own independent record label called 100% Electronica, which was created in 2015, and in 2019 he launched his first Vaporwave music festival called 100% ElectroniCON, no doubt a beast this guy, he does some amazing stuff and brings a lot to this somewhat small but wonderful scene.
Su nombre real es George Clanton, que también es conocido por Mirror Kisses, es un músico, cantante y compositor estadounidense muy conocido por su participación en la escena electrónica y vaporwave. Tiene su propio sello discográfico independiente llamado 100% Electronica, el cual fue creado en 2015, y en el 2019 lanzo su primer festival de música Vaporwave llamado 100% ElectroniCON, sin dudas una bestia este tipo, hace unas cosas increíbles y aporta mucho a esta escena algo pequeña pero maravillosa.
I love too much ESPRIT 空想, god his music is too good, while Blank Banshee goes more for Trap and hip hop, this guy grabs the Vaporwave genre as main and uses very electronic and moving sounds, similar to what you would see in Raves or eighties electronic parties with sounds in cycles, use of many organic drums, repetition of sounds, is very cool, besides taking old samples and leave them almost unrecognizable from all the production work he does to them. For me personally it is the best of this list.
Me encanta demasiado ESPRIT 空想, dios su música es demasiado buena, mientras en Blank Banshee se va mas por el Trap y el hip hop, este tipo agarra el género Vaporwave como principal y usa sonidos muy electrónicos y movidos, similares a los que verías en Raves o fiestas ochenteras de electrónica con sonidos en ciclos, uso de muchas baterías orgánicas, repetición de sonidos, es muy genial, además de tomar samples antiguos y dejarlos casi irreconocibles de todo el trabajo de producción que les hace. Para mi personalmente es el mejor de esta lista.
マクロスMACROSS 82-99
Also known by his first name which is Gerald, and his nickname "Mookie", of Mexican nationality, he is one of the Vaporwave artists I am recommending here, he is a producer, musician and artist who focuses on experimental electronic music inspired by Vaporwave, French House and Japanese culture, besides making a lot of use of Plunderthonics. His name comes from an anime called Macross. His style is very lively and cheerful, I love it, he doesn't use as many dark touches as Vaporwave usually does in his bases, he doesn't lower the Pitch so much, something very noticeable in his style and very admirable.
Tambien conocido por su primer nombre el cual es Gerald, y su apodo “Mookie”, de nacionalidad mexicana, es un artista del Vaporwave de entre los que estoy recomendando aca, es productor, musico y artista el cual se enfoca en musica electronica experimental inspirada el el Vaporwave, House Frances y la cultura japonesa, ademas de hacer mucho uso de Plunderthonics. Su nombre proviene de un anime llamado como su nombre, Macross. Su estilo es muy movido y alegre, me encanta, no usa tantos toques oscuros como lo suele hacer el Vaporwave en sus bases, no le baja tanto el Pitch, algo muy notable en su estilo y muy de admirar.
Dan Mason ダン·メイソン
Dan Manson is an artist, musician and composer of many genres affiliated to electronic music who lives in Orlando, Florida. Something unknown, I must admit I was very lucky to run into this guy, but everything he does has a I don't know what, that is too good, the samples he uses are very well worked and polished, like the example of this song, it is a sample of the 80's and it sounds too HD, I love the work of this guy, it is very much to adore.
Dan Manson es un artista, músico y compositor de muchos géneros afiliados a la electrónica que vive en Orlando, Florida. Algo desconocido, debo admitir que tuve mucha suerte de toparme con este tipo, pero todo lo que hace tiene un yo no sé qué, que es demasiado bueno, los samples que usa están muy bien trabajados y pulidos, como el ejemplo de esta canción, es un sample de los 80 y se escucha demasiado HD, me encanta el trabajo de este tipo, es muy de adorar.
18 Carat Affair
His real name is Denys Parker, His music is a Vaporwave style with a lot of amateur musical collages, using some vintage tape machines and synthesizers, a wide series of them which are: LinnDrum, Juno-106, Yamaha DX7, Sequential Circuits TOM, Betamax, Casio SK-200. This is one of my favorites, I love it, apart from the fact that its sounds introduce you to Vaporwave in a relaxed and friendly way, it is the most pop I will show here, it uses very well worked samples and without a doubt it is very pleasant to listen to, one of the best there is to start getting into Vaporwave before other rarer things.
Su nombre real es Denys Parker, Su música es un estilo de Vaporwave con muchos collages musicales amateur, usando unas maquinas de cinta vintage y sintetizadores, una amplia serie de ellos los cuales son: LinnDrum, Juno-106, Yamaha DX7, Sequential Circuits TOM, Betamax, Casio SK-200. Este es uno de mis favoritos, me encanta, aparte de que sus sonidos te introducen al Vaporwave de una forma un tanto relajada e amigable, es el más pop que mostrare aca, usa samples muy bien trabajados y sin dudas es muy agradable escucharlo, de lo mejor que hay para empezar a adentrarte al Vaporwave antes que otras cosas mas raras.
Undoubtedly this is a very worthy art to appreciate, for me very undervalued, it is a style of which many people, like me, have had much appreciation on the internet, mostly attracts young people and many of those who make this music did not even live the times of the 70s, 80s and 90s, it is a kind of homage, to recycle the music, as some Vaporwave musicians say, we are collectors of musical garbage from the past in the Cyberpunk style, I love too much this whole scene and the beautiful visuals that are usually made with very phosphorescent and psychedelic colors.
Sin dudas este es un arte muy digno de apreciar, para mi muy infravalorado, es un estilo del cual muchas personas, como yo, le hemos tenido mucho aprecio en la internet, más que todo atrae a los jóvenes y muchos de los que hacen estas músicas ni siquiera vivieron las épocas de los 70, 80 y 90, es una especie de homenaje, de reciclar la música, tal como lo dicen algunos músicos del Vaporwave, somos recogedores de basura musical del pasado al estilo Cyberpunk, me encanta demasiado todo esta escena y las visuales tan hermosas que se suelen hacer con colores muy fosforescentes y psicodélicos.
