Hello everyone, first of all, happy Thursday to everyone who enters my post.
Today I come with a new review, this time of one of the most transgressive albums ever made by a former Disney actress. This is an album that taught me to be rebellious, to stop caring so much about what people say about me. Bangerz, the fourth studio album by singer Miley Cyrus, is without a doubt a gem. Join me on this journey full of madness and partying.
The other day I was listening to music, singing, and I said to my inner self:
―It's about time you do a second music review ―mainly because I like to give my opinion about music, especially music I grew up with, the music that shaped me and helped me develop a personality. I was looking through the albums of my favorite singers (most of them are female singers) and I decided to do it for my favorite Miley Cyrus album, "Bangerz".
The album mixes several genres, such as hip-hop, pop and country. It explores themes such as fun, hate and love. According to media reports, the album was inspired by her breakup with actor Liam Hemwsworth. Undoubtedly, a wild and irreverent album, with powerful ballads and multiple songs perfect for twerking, having a total of thirteen tracks. Without further ado, prepare your favorite snack, make yourself a delicious cocktail or get your beer, and get ready for the wild ride with “Bangerz” by Miley Cyrus
When you say you love me
Know I love you more.
We start with one of the album's ballads, with a nice and calm pop-influenced tune. In this song, we hear Miley declaring her love for that person, like "adores him". It has beautiful lyrics, accompanied by a majestic sound.
I love this song, and I loved it from the second I heard it. Then, being in love, I dedicated it (I don't regret it). It's beats and smitten approach make this one of my favorites on the album, I give it a 8.5 / 10. An amazing way to start the album.
Red cups and sweaty bodies everywhere
Hands in the air like we don’t care.
The party starts with "We Can't Stop ", the lead single of this era and a revolution in Miley's career. The song talks in general about partying, having a good time and doing whatever you want, although there is a very important line that I would like to mention. Miley says: "Remember only God can judge you, forget the haters, ‘cause somebody loves you", and I think it's a very nice, constructive line to add to a perfect song for a party.
To the twerk anthem, I'll give it a 8 / 10 because it thoroughly deserves it. A perfect rhythm to dance to, liberating lyrics and incredible vocals almost at the end of the song, make this song simply a gem and a memorable moment in Miley's career, with which she said goodbye to her Disney girl image.
I’m flyin’ high upon a bird
Acrophobia.
Keeping the party going, Miley delves into dance pop beats with the iconic pop princess. The song is loud and with funny lyrics that don't make a lot of sense. There's not much to comment on this collaboration that feels more like filler for the album.
I'll give it a 4 / 10 because truth be told, being a collaboration with Britney herself, it could have been something much bigger. One of the worst on the album in my opinion, although it's good for dancing.
I’m a female rebel can’t you tell
Bang on the dashboard, shift in hell.
We're well into the album and the party doesn't stop, this time with a country-influenced beat. Miley's voice sounds loose, confident and fun. A piece that is still not memorable, but still enjoyable. Miley manages to experiment vocally, using high notes and rapping, all in the same song whose rhythm is country.
There's not much to say about this song, it was never one of my favorites and it's definitely a skip on the album, so I give it a 5 / 10.
I walked through a pool of water
When I seen the shadow of a broken-hearted girl.
We slow down the party a bit, with a song whose rhythm could be categorized as hip-hop, with heartbreaking lyrics where Ms. Cyrus talks about how much she loves that person, who belongs next to her, and asks her to stay by her side. The beat is quite interesting when it goes a little after the middle, almost experimental and Lana Del Rey influenced, in my opinion.
After listening to the song more closely, I rate it a 7.5 / 10, especially after the first half, and combined with heartbreaking lyrics, it sets us up for the next track on the album.
We clawed, we chained our hearts in vain
We jumped, never asking why.
Best ballad on the album, that's all. One of my favorite Miley songs, and her first number 1 hit. The song was a pop culture hit, especially because of the controversy at the time of the video's release, where she appears naked on a wrecking ball.
The song is about a breakup, and you can feel Miley's pain, both in the song and the video. I give it a 10 / 10, because its lyrics, its rhythms, Miley's voice make a masterful combination that shows us a mature side of the singer.

Party ain’t nothing but a party when you party every day it ain’t nothing but a party.
We're back to partying, with one of the best party songs on this album. Miley uses a lot of rap in this song, with a bass-heavy beat and the perfect rhythm to get wild. Halfway through the album, Cyrus gets us back in the groove with a fast-paced song in collaboration with a rapper. She proves that rap is her style and that versatility is one of the main words of this album.
An 8 / 10, with irreverent lyrics and a tasty beat, it's a complete yes for me, I've always loved this song and used to sing it with my best friend when the album had just been released.
I feel a surge coming over me
I feel it all around my thighs.
The song starts talking about a rather taboo subject, especially some time ago when the song came out, and it is about female masturbation. In the song we see how Miley Cyrus is excited about the fantasy of a man turning her on. Beat-wise, the song is fun and feels pretty light, especially compared to the other songs on the album.
It's not one of my favorites on the album, but it doesn't take away from how good it is. A 6.5 / 10, Miley played it safe with this track, which feels a little filler, but without necessarily being bad.
Drive my heart into the night
You could drop the keys off in the morning.
Miley serves us a strong song, Drive is pop perfection, one of the best tracks on this album. Once again we see Cyrus begging for love, but this time it sounds almost like a complaint towards the person who broke the promise of a "forever".
The part that gets me the most in this song is in the bridge, when she says, "But all the broken promises I won't miss, I'm finished". Her voice sounds too good in this track and the sound is quite interesting, a 10 / 10 no doubt.
Oh, you broke my heart
I told you I was weak for love.
In this part of the album, Miley is SERVING it, she continues with strong and impeccable production. This set of three songs (the previous one, this one and the one below) are pure art. With this song, Cyrus takes the middle finger out on a guy who cheated on her, but both the irreverence of the crude lyrics and the magic of that production make it a masterpiece.
It's not a heartbreak song, let alone a ballad, it's a strong pop song with the collaboration of a rapper who gives it his touch to make it a 10 / 10. It enters my top 5 songs from this album, without hesitation.
Every single night, and every single day
I’ma do my thang, I’ma do my thang.
The peak of the album is reached here, the party continues and irreverence is the protagonist. With lines like: "I'm a southern belle, crazier than hell" Miley makes it clear that she is willing to take the party to the extreme. You can literally feel the party in the words of this song; it's like an exquisite explosion of rhythms and sounds.
One of the most explicit, not because of the subject matter, but because of the amount of profanity she uses. If you want to feel like a complete gangster and give it all on the dance floor, this is the perfect song. A 10 / 10 more for this magical album.
Chapter one we started happy
The second that you said you loved me.
We drastically slow down the pace of the album because we're already closing it, but that doesn't stop Miley from showing us her great talent, both vocally and lyrically. The beat doesn't strike me as the most memorable thing, the production feels clean but it's like something else is missing.
As we are already closing the album, it seems to me that the best songs passed, so the two songs left for the end don't seem to me the best closure, however they are still good. A resounding 6 / 10, not much to add.
If you’re looking for love
Know that love don’t live here anymore.
We close with this song, which although it is the last of the album, it is still a tremendous song. I had to listen to it at least three times before I was convinced, especially when you pay special attention to the production, which sounds very interesting and combine it with Miley's voice that makes it the perfect track to close an album so important for pop culture.
To close the album, it is a good piece, a 9 / 10, for its rhythms mostly, which make this song refreshing and a nice way to culminate. The bridge of this song, when it's already in its final phase, is just too perfect.

Again, I recognize that I'm no expert on music, but we all have the option to issue a critique. Now, that being said, this album is a huge success, in Miley's career, in pop music and in music in general. Miley Cyrus showed us with this concept that she is more than just Hannah Montana, that she left behind the innocent girl that came out of Disney. She showed us that she is successful, that she can revolutionize a whole generation with irreverence, not for nothing she was labeled as "The new Madonna".
Without much more to say, I hope you enjoyed this review as much as I enjoyed coming and writing it after listening to such an exquisite album, in production, lyrics, visual content and media presence. Hola a todos, primeramente, feliz jueves para todo aquel que entre a mi post.
Hoy vengo con un nuevo review, esta vez de uno de los álbumes más transgresores hecho alguna vez por una ex actriz Disney. Se trata de un álbum que me enseñó a ser rebelde, a que deje de importarme tanto lo que digan las personas de mí. ”Bangerz”, el cuarto álbum de estudio de la cantante Miley Cyrus, sin duda alguna una joya. Únete a mí en este viaje lleno de locura y fiesta.
El otro día estaba escuchando música, cantando, y dije a mi yo interior:
―Ya es momento de que hagas una segunda reseña de música ―principalmente porque me gusta dar mi opinión acerca de música, en especial de música con la que crecí, la música que me formó y me ayudó a desarrollar una personalidad. Estuve buscando entre los álbumes de mis cantantes favoritas (la mayoría son cantantes femeninas) y decidí hacerlo de mi álbum favorito de Miley Cyrus, “Bangerz”.
El álbum mezcla varios géneros, tal como hip-hop, pop y country. Explora temas como la diversión, el odio o el amor. De acuerdo a medios, el álbum estuvo inspirado en su ruptura amorosa con el actor Liam Hemwsworth. Sin duda alguna, un álbum salvaje e irreverente, con poderosas baladas y múltiples canciones perfectas para el twerking, teniendo un total de trece pistas. Sin más que añadir, prepara tu snack favorito, hazte un delicioso coctel o busca tu cerveza, y alístate para el salvaje viaje con “Bangerz” de Miley Cyrus
Cuando dices que me amas
Sé que te quiero más.
Empezamos con una de las baladas del álbum, con una tonada linda y tranquila, influenciada por el pop. En esta canción, oímos a Miley declarar su amor por aquella persona, como “le adora”. Tiene una hermosa letra, acompañada por un sonido majestuoso.
Me encanta esta canción, y la amé desde el segundo en que la escuché. Luego, estando enamorado, la dediqué (no me arrepiento). Sus ritmos y su enfoque enamorado hacen que esta sea una de mis favoritas del álbum, le doy un 8.5 / 10. Una asombrosa manera de empezar el álbum.
Copas rojas y cuerpos sudorosos por todas partes
Las manos en el aire como si no nos importara.
Empieza la fiesta con ”We Can’t Stop”, el sencillo líder de esta era y toda una revolución en la carrera de Miley. El tema habla en general en fiesta, pasarla bien y hacer lo que quieras, aunque hay una línea muy importante y de la que me gustaría hacer mención. Miley dice: “Recuerda que solo Dios te puede juzgar, olvida a los haters, pues alguien te ama”, y me parece que es algo muy bonito, una línea constructiva que agregar a una canción perfecta para una fiesta.
Al himno del twerk, le daré un 8 / 10 porque lo merece completamente. Un ritmo perfecto para bailar, una letra liberadora y vocales increíbles ya casi al cerrar la canción, hacen de esta canción sencillamente una joya y un momento memorable en la carrera de Miley, con la cual se despidió de su imagen de niña Disney.
Estoy volando alto sobre un pájaro
Acrofobia.
Siguiendo la fiesta, Miley se adentra en ritmos dance pop con la icónica princesa del pop. La canción es ruidosa y con una letra divertida y sin mucho sentido. No hay mucho que comentar de esta colaboración que se siente más bien como un relleno para el álbum.
Le daré un 4 / 10 porque la verdad, siendo una colaboración con la mismísima Britney, pudo ser algo mucho más grande. Una de las peores del álbum en mi opinión, aunque para bailar sí está buena.
Soy una mujer rebelde, ¿no te das cuenta?
Golpea el tablero, cambia en el infierno
Ya nos adentramos al álbum y la fiesta no para, esta vez con un ritmo bastante influenciado por el country. La voz de Miley suena suelta, confiada y divertida. Una pieza que sigue sin ser memorable, pero que se puede disfrutar bastante. Miley logra experimentar vocalmente, usando notas altas y rapear, todo en una misma canción cuyo ritmo es country.
No hay mucho que decir de esta canción, nunca fue una de mis favoritas y es, sin duda, un skip en el álbum, por lo cual le doy un 5 / 10.
Caminé a través de un charco de agua
Cuando vi la sombra de una chica con el corazón roto.
Le bajamos un poco el ritmo a la fiesta, con una canción cuyo ritmo podría catalogarse como hip-hop, con una letra desgarradora donde la srta. Cyrus habla de cómo quiere mucho a esa persona, la cual pertenece a su lado, y le pide que se quede a su lado. El ritmo es bastante interesante cuando va un poco después de la mitad, casi experimental y con influencias de Lana Del Rey, en mi opinión.
Luego de escuchar la canción con mayor atención, la califico con un 7.5 / 10, en especial luego de la primera mitad, y combinada con una letra rompecorazones, nos prepara para la siguiente pista del álbum.
Arañamos, encadenamos nuestros corazones en vano
Saltamos, sin preguntar por qué.
La mejor balada del álbum, eso es todo. Una de mis canciones favoritas de Miley y su primer éxito número 1. La canción fue todo un suceso en la cultura pop, en especial por la controversia al momento de ser lanzado el vídeo, donde ella aparece desnuda sobre una bola de demolición.
La canción habla de una ruptura amorosa, y se puede sentir el dolor de Miley, tanto en la canción como en el vídeo. De puntuación, le doy directamente un 10 / 10, porque sus letras, sus ritmos, la voz de Miley hacen una combinación magistral que nos enseña una faceta madura de la cantante.

La fiesta no es nada más que una fiesta cuando se festeja todos los días no es nada más que una fiesta.
Volvemos a la fiesta, con una de las mejores canciones para fiesta en este álbum. Miley usa mucho rap en esta canción, con un ritmo lleno de bajos y el ritmo perfecto para alocarse. Ya a mitad del álbum, Cyrus nos pone de nuevo al trote con una canción acelerada y en colaboración con un rapero. Nos demuestra que el rap es su estilo y que la versatilidad es una de las principales palabras de este álbum.
Un 8 / 10, con letra irreverente y ritmo sabroso, es un completo sí para mí, siempre he amado esta canción y solía cantarla con mi mejor amiga cuando el álbum apenas había sido estrenado.
Siento que me invade una oleada
Lo siento alrededor de mis muslos.
La canción empieza hablando de un tema bastante tabú, en especial hace algún tiempo, cuando la canción salió, y se trata de la masturbación femenina. En la canción vemos como Miley Cyrus está emocionada con la fantasía de un hombre que la enciende. En cuanto a ritmos, la canción es divertida y se siente bastante ligera, en especial comparada con las demás canciones del álbum.
No es una de mis favoritas del álbum, pero no quita lo buena que es. Un 6.5 / 10, Miley jugó a lo seguro con esta pista, que se siente un poco de relleno, pero sin necesariamente ser mala.
Lleva mi corazón a la noche
Podrías dejar las llaves por la mañana.
Miley nos sirve una fuerte canción, Drive es perfección pop, una de las mejores pistas de este álbum. Una vez más vemos a Cyrus rogar por amor, pero esta vez suena casi como un reclamo hacia la persona que rompió la promesa de un "por siempre".
La parte que más me atrapa de esta canción es en el puente, cuando ella dice: "Pero todas las promesas rotas no las perderé, he terminado". Su voz suena demasiado bien en este track y el sonido es bastante interesante, un 10 / 10 sin duda alguna.
Oh, me has roto el corazón
Te dije que era débil para el amor.
En esta parte del álbum, Miley lo está SIRVIENDO, sigue con una producción fuerte e impecable. Este conjunto de tres canciones (la anterior, esta y la que sigue) son puro arte. Con esta canción, Cyrus le saca el dedo medio a un chico que la engañó, pero tanto la irreverencia de una letra grosera como la magia de aquella producción, hacen que sea una obra maestra.
No es una canción con el corazón roto, ni mucho menos una balada, es una fuerte canción pop con la colaboración de un rapero que le da su toque para hacerla un 10 / 10. Entra en mi top 5 de canciones de este álbum, sin dudarlo.
Cada noche y cada día
Voy a hacer mi cosa, voy a hacer mi cosa.
El peak del álbum es alcanzado acá, la fiesta sigue y la irreverencia es protagonista. Con líneas como: “Soy una belleza sureña, más loca que el infierno” Miley nos deja claro que está dispuesta a llevar la fiesta al extremo. Literal se siente la fiesta en las palabras de esta canción, es como una explosión exquisita de ritmos y sonidos.
Una de las más explícitas, no por el tema que trata, sino por la cantidad de groserías que usa. Si quieres sentirte un completo gangster y darlo todo en la pista, esta es la canción perfecta. Un 10 / 10 más para este mágico álbum.
Capítulo uno empezamos felices
El segundo que dijiste que me amabas
Le bajamos drásticamente el ritmo al álbum porque ya estamos cerrándolo, pero no por eso Miley deja de mostrarnos su gran talento, tanto vocal como líricamente. El ritmo no me parece la cosa más memorable, la producción se siente limpia pero es como si faltara algo más.
Como ya estamos cerrando el álbum, me parece que las mejores canciones pasaron, así que las dos que quedaron para el final no me parece el mejor cierre, sin embargo no dejan de ser buenas. Un rotundo 6 / 10, no mucho por añadir.
Si buscas el amor
Que sepas que el amor ya no vive aquí.
Cerramos con esta canción, que si bien, es la última del álbum, no deja de ser una tremenda canción. La tuve que escuchar al menos tres veces antes de que me terminara de convencer, en especial cuando prestas especial atención a la producción, que suena muy interesante y la combinan con la voz de Miley que hace que sea el track perfecto para cerrar un álbum tan importante para la cultura pop.
Para cerrar el álbum, es una buena pieza, un 9 / 10, por sus ritmos mayormente, que hacen de esta canción algo refrescante y una linda forma de culminar. El puente de esta canción, cuando ya está en su fase final, es demasiado perfecta.

Una vez más, reconozco que no soy experto en música, pero todos tenemos la opción de emitir una crítica. Ahora, dicho eso, este álbum es todo un suceso, en la carrera de Miley, en la música pop y en la música en general. Miley Cyrus nos mostró con este concepto que ella es más que solo Hannah Montana, que dejó atrás a la chica inocente que salió de Disney. Nos mostró que es exitosa, que puede revolucionar a toda una generación con irreverencia, no por nada la catalogaron como “La nueva Madonna”.
Sin mucho más que decir, espero que hayan disfrutado de esta reseña tanto como yo disfruté venir y redactarla luego de haber escuchado un álbum tan exquisito, en producción, letras, contenido visual y presencia en los medios. Si llegan a escucharlo luego de esta reseña, no duden en venir y decirme que piensan de cada canción o del álbum en general. No olviden que cada reseña fue hecha desde mi punto de vista personal, es decir, todo es subjetivo, cada quien tiene el derecho a emitir su opinión.
