🔴 SESIONES CAPÍTULO 2
Saludos queridísimos amigos de #hive, le damos la bienvenida a este segundo capitulo de SESIONES, como siempre agradeciendo todo el apoyo y el feedback recibido en el capitulo anterior. Una vez mas queremos compartir con ustedes parte de nuestro trabajo en el estudio y traerles un proyecto que ha sido toda una sensación en la blockchain; nos referimos por supuesto a “Ojos Amarillos” de Edwards Tobia y Lanavenovino. Esta producción desde el principio fue un diamante en bruto, que poco a poco se transformó en la canción que es ahora y que requirió de varias etapas para lograr maximizar la idea inicial.
Greetings dearest friends of #hive, we welcome you to this second chapter of SESSIONS, as always thanking all the support and feedback received in the previous chapter. Once again we want to share with you part of our work in the studio and bring you a project that has been a sensation in the blockchain; we refer of course to “Ojos Amarillos” by Edwards Tobia and Lanavenovino. This production from the beginning was a diamond in the rough, which little by little became the song that it is now and that required several stages to maximize the initial idea.

👣 Todo empezó como un encuentro casual, unas ganas de producir una canción con potencial y una idea a medio terminar. La canción como la tenia diseñada Edwards era algo muy simple, con una instrumentación limitada a un par de guitarras acústicas y un violín. Como en estos casos, la metodología inicio con la grabación en el estudio de la canción interpretada por Edwards Tobia en la guitarra base y voz principal, David Suárez en los coros y guitarra líder y Kevin G. en el violín. A partir de esa primera captura se empezó a estructurar la canción, identificando sus partes como las estrofas, pre coros, coros, puentes, etcétera. Una vez hecho esto procedimos a reestructurarla y darle una forma comercial pero creativa.
It all started as a chance meeting, a desire to produce a song with potential and a half-finished idea. The song as Edwards had designed it was very simple, with instrumentation limited to a couple of acoustic guitars and a violin. As in these cases, the methodology began with the recording in the studio of the song performed by Tobia Edwards on base guitar and lead vocals, David Suárez on backing vocals and lead guitar, and Kevin G. on violin. From that first capture, the song began to be structured, identifying its parts as verses, pre-choruses, choruses, bridges, etc. Once this was done, we proceeded to restructure it and give it a commercial but creative form.

🎙 La canción parecía estar terminada una vez que se regrabaron los instrumentos, pero su acabado final no convenció a Edwards. Ya le habíamos propuesto agregar una batería y un bajo eléctrico para que la canción tuviera un sonido mas grande y con energía, así que los chicos aceptaron la propuesta y allí hizo su entrada Oreste Carvajal. La participación de Oreste le dio un giro a la producción, ya que su diseño y ejecución de la batería estableció las pautas para el empuje estético de la canción. A partir de los elementos rítmicos empezamos a rediseñar el tema, nuestro productor Augusto Córdova grabo el bajo eléctrico y la guitarra acústica base, así tendríamos toda la fundación de lo que seria la versión 2.0 de Ojos Amarillos.
The song seemed to be finished once the instruments were re-recorded, but its final finish did not convince Edwards. We had already proposed to add a battery and an electric bass so that the song would have a bigger and more energetic sound, so the boys accepted the proposal and Oreste Carvajal made his entrance. Oreste's involvement turned the production around, as his drum design and execution set the tone for the song's aesthetic thrust. From the rhythmic elements we began to redesign the song, our producer Augusto Córdova recorded the electric bass and the base acoustic guitar, so we would have the entire foundation of what would be the 2.0 version of Ojos Amarillos..

🔸PRODUCCIÓN / PRODUCTION🔸
🎸 David Castillo hizo su entrada como arreglista para poner una luz que nos permitió ver las guitarras con claridad. Realizó las correcciones necesarias en los acordes y grabo la guitarra eléctrica principal. Esa guitarra fue grabada directo a la interface de audio y se requirió de una emulación de amplificadores para darle el realismo necesario.
Para las guitarras rítmicas, usamos nuestro amplificador Line 6 modelo Spider, y se usó un micrófono condensador AKG P120 para la captura. Estas guitarras fueron grabadas por David Suarez.
David Castillo made his entrance as arranger to put on a light that allowed us to see the guitars clearly. He made the necessary corrections to the chords and recorded the lead electric guitar. That guitar was recorded directly to the audio interface and amp emulation was required to give it the necessary realism.
For rhythm guitars, we used our Line 6 Spider model amp, and an AKG P120 condenser microphone was used for pickup. These guitars were recorded by David Suarez.

🎻 Del violín teníamos una primera captura hecha por Kevin G. y que se usó como la base melódica de las cuerdas. A partir de esta melodía, el talentoso Martín Figueroa realizó un arreglo extraordinario para las tres líneas de violín que tiene la canción, dándole un sonido sólido y una atmosfera abierta y profunda. El violín se grabó en el estudio de David Castillo asistido por nuestro productor Augusto Córdova.
From the violin we had a first capture made by Kevin G. and that was used as the melodic base for the strings. From this melody, the talented Martín Figueroa made an extraordinary arrangement for the three violin lines that the song has, giving it a solid sound and an open and deep atmosphere. The violin was recorded in David Castillo's studio assisted by our producer Augusto Córdova.

Por último grabamos las voces, Edwards grabó algunas capas para lograr dos pares estéreo para la voz principal en los coros y un Dobler para las estrofas. David Suarez grabo las Background y los refuerzos. Para las dos voces se usó el condensador AKG P120 y un SG500 SHURE, pasados por un Preamp Behringer.
Lastly we recorded the vocals, Edwards recorded some layers to achieve two stereo pairs for the lead vocals on the choruses and a Dobler for the verses. David Suarez recorded the Background and reinforcements. For the two voices, the AKG P120 condenser and a SG500 SHURE were used, passed through a Behringer Preamp.

🎛 El acabado final se logro en post-producción, se agregaron unas voces con sintetizadores y algunos efectos diseñados para acompañar las cuerdas. La mezcla fue realizada por Augusto Córdova y el máster por Diego Gutiérrez en España.
The final finish was achieved in post-production, some voices with synthesizers and some effects designed to accompany the strings were added. The mix was made by Augusto Córdova and the master by Diego Gutiérrez in Spain.

✅ Cuando las ganas de hacer algo excelente se junta con el talento, el resultado es maravilloso. Todos los que formaron parte del proceso creativo, los arreglos, las grabaciones, así como la producción, dejaron parte de cada uno en esa obra. Y es que ese mismo entusiasmo es el que hace que las ideas se materialicen y de la mejor manera posible.
“Ojos Amarillos” es una canción que desde que Edwards la presentó ya tenía potencial y gracias al esfuerzo y disposición del equipo de trabajo alcanzó su potencial más alto, así lo ha demostrado la receptividad del público.
When the desire to do something excellent is combined with talent, the result is wonderful. All those who were part of the creative process, the arrangements, the recordings, as well as the production, left part of each one of them in that work. And it is that same enthusiasm that makes ideas materialize and in the best possible way.
“Yellow Eyes” is a song that since Edwards presented it already had potential and thanks to the effort and willingness of the work team it reached its highest potential, as demonstrated by the receptivity of the public.
