Back to the forest! - My Actifit Report Card: October 26 2023

Hey Actifitters,

Yesterday was mostly grey, but dry, which was good after the rain we had overnight. The leaves on the ground showed clear signs of that rain.

But when we went for our first yard walk with Kaia, we were glad to see it didn't damage the foliage too much. Still plenty of colors.

But it's also very clear in the backyard now: there are more leaves on the ground than on the trees. We're getting close to the end of this beautiful season.

Like I mentioned several times, it's a different situation behind the front yard: many of the leaves didn't fall off yet, and they just turned yellow and orange.

Before starting our last walk of the day, we spent some time on the deck. It seems the unseasonably warm temperatures we're experiencing right now pushed Le Chat to resume her very active lifestyle.

We didn't really have any route in mind for our walk, just an opportunity to check out if the fall colors are different in the neighborhood.

Without really thinking about it, we walked towards our forest.

And before we knew it, we arrived near its entrance.

Here it was, first time in our forest since Kaia's surgery, almost five weeks ago. In spite of the dusk getting closer, we could still enjoy the bright foliage colors.

We didn't walk really far inside because based on the post-surgery instructions, we were already pushing it distance and time wise, but Kaia standing on that trail was a great sight!

Even with the robot eyes!

We slowly walked back home as it got dark. Kaia didn't seem to be bothered at all, or limping, so I now know we can visit the forest again. In full daylight will be even better.
Rest of the evening was mostly uneventful, but as usual I went to bed way too late!
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
