Today was a mix of activities. My granddaughter slept late after a tiring day at the lake with her mom and cousin yesterday. So the quiet morning included turns on the rowing and climbing machines, washing dishes, chasing down the robot vacuum each time it disappeared or got stuck, and sliding in my socks throughout the house. That was fun. 😁
Around noon the skies opened up and began dumping a ton of rain -- the day after I watered my garden, of course. 🌧 Playing outside wasn't possible but my granddaughter and I enjoyed several rounds of hide and seek. Despite having done this often in this house and thinking i knew every possible hiding spot, she still managed to elude me several times. Her size definitely works in her favor. 😂
In the evening it was back to the machines and more slide walking. During a lull in the rain we took a walk to get the mail (splashing through water puddles), and eventually settled in to watch Nickelodeon shows until bedtime (hers, not mine).
I was on my feet a lot. I'm ready to stretch out and do mindless stuff on my phone til I fall asleep -- right after I post this report. 📱
