Yesterday I featured a Summertime song from 1958. Let's jump almost a decade ahead and hear renowned blues rock singer from Texas Janis Joplin cover Summertime originally from Porgy and Bess, a 1935 opera. Janis Joplin has a strong but raspy voice and she's not everyone's cup of tea. But I can dig it, man! I dig her voice and also the cool 60s guitar work!
Second Janis Joplin song for you is Piece Of My Heart. This was a huge hit and its still played on the radio and cover bands. I love the guitar break in the middle and Janis' voice is so expressive.
Third up is Light Is Faster Than Sound. A slightly psychedelic tune with Janus on background vocals. The guitar is trippy but fast. This is a lesser known song but still very cool.
MY ACTIVITY
was some random daily activity as I moved around the house. Then I took night time walk under a larger than half moon which was shining brightly.
Have a nice day!
