It's amazing what you can find on YouTube. I found a song by The Jades featuring Lou Reed on vocals and guitar. Now Lou Reed became famous in 1967 as leader of the super influential band The Velvet Underground and had a great solo career in the 70s and for many decades thereafter, but this song is from 1958 when he was in high school!
I knew of The Velvet Underground and some of Lou's solo stuff like Take A Walk On The Wild Side, but I never knew about this early stuff until today.
So Blue is an up tempo doowop song and it's got Reed on guitar but he may not be singing lead. He might sing back-up. This is an article I found as a source.
Venus In Furs is a strange song from the first Velvet Underground album (1967). The title isn't in the lyrics but refers to a book that the song is based on.
Vicious is a rocker from the early days of Reed's solo career (1972) that I always liked. It's got aggressive guitars but its not really metal. Might be proto punk.
