The kids have been asking if I'd take them fishing. I wanted to kill a couple hours so i took them shopping for supplies. Of course, they were thrilled.
So we headed out to the grocery store then hit up the store to get their rods. My son has one but when he saw his sister's he wanted one like hers. It's fine, I'll use the kiddie pole.
They were miffed when i told them that we weren't in fact fishing today.
Why Dad Why?
Haven't heard that question all summer.
After you learn how to cast you can go fishing.
(Can you see the little blue rubber fish?)
So we headed over to the park with the kiddie pole and i showed them how to cast off the side into the river.
Cast Away
I gave them the basics. It's a push button rod so it's not like those other reels that require a BS in Fishing Science. They were casting pretty good so i figured they had graduated to actual fishing.
They were delighted.
"We'll go tomorrow."
They were dismayed.
But we got to see these cuties
