A warm day.
Back to work.
Another day shift: Water Treatment Plant.
@aliquid, @goingcrossroads, anything to say about this image?
Hmmm?
They're always so quiet...
The bottlebrush trees near the pump station are looking good.
The bees were in full industrial mode.
Morning rounds, collecting figures, cleaning the slaker and inspecting the extensive chlorine dosing system.
In the afternoon I was heading back to the control room from having done the chlorine analyser crosschecks, when I saw this:
A franna crane truck setting down an old rusty valve. It must have been dug up from somewhere in the networks and brought here for...
What?
Perhaps it needs a rebuild, or a replica needs to be made. Or maybe it's been removed from an old plant or reservoir site and is being hung onto for heritage reasons.
Who knows?
I'm intrigued because it's being kept for a reason. If it wasn't, it would have been put straight in the scrap metal bin.
If I get the chance, I'll ask.
I went for a walk around the neighbourhood after work, to get those golden 10,000+ wiggle points.
And because the weather was nice.
And also because there's daylight now, after work, for a decent amount of time.
Daylight Savings Time came into effect recentIy down here.
I found a mulberry tree on this walk.
In a park at the bottom of my street.
A couple were ripe and pretty tasty. Some others looked ripe but were still a bit tart.
I'll be checking back in with that tree over the next few weeks.
