Surprise, surprise... the festival never reopened after we were evacuated just after 11pm Sunday night. My partner and I stuck around on main street hoping we would be allowed back in to see the final headliner, Excision, play his set after midnight. Soon after midnight, were alerted about the event cancelation.
We found our friends and wandered around the campsite hunting down some after parties. We finally got there, and it was packed. Then it was tragically cut short when there were some ODs spotted in the crowd. An unfortunate ending to an amazing weekend.
I must have accumulated most of these steps before sunrise, because from 7am to midnight on Monday we were driving back from Michigan to Brooklyn, NY. The cover shot is my traditional post festival feast -- CRACKER BARREL! Something about those Turnip Greens and Grandma's French Toast that gets me every time. The rocking chairs are cool too!
