I walked a little over 8,000 steps today, but my step count is lower because I didn’t open Actifit right away. I found out that the app wasn’t counting my steps properly because of the phone settings.
Today I decided to take the opposite way around of my usual walking route. The scenery changes quite a bit just by going the opposite way.
The area in this picture is lined with big houses along the beach. They are really big houses. David Suzuki, a very famous Japanese-Canadian biologist and environmental activist in Canada, lives in this area. One of his grandchildren is a classmate of my youngest daughter.
This is Swimming weather vane looking over the beach and the outdoor pool. I moved to this area about 20 years ago and it has always been there since.
Downtown Vancouver is in the background in this photo.
There was a group playing beach volleyball in Halloween costumes, but I was too close to them, so I took a picture of the group next to them.
It was a very cold day in spite of nice weather.

今日は8000歩ちょい歩いたのですが、Actifitのことは散歩途中で思い出したので歩数が少ないです。アプリがちゃんと歩数をカウントしてくれなかったのはスマホの設定が悪かったようです。先日セブンさんにコメントをいただいて、私も週1Actifitterを目指そうと思いますw
今日はいつもの散歩コースを反対回りすることにしました。同じ散歩コースなのに反対回りをするだけで結構景色が変わりますね。
この写真のあたりはビーチ沿いの大きな家が立ち並んでいます。本当に大きなお家です。カナダでとても有名な日系人、生物学者であり環境運動家のデヴィッド・スズキ氏の家もこの並びにあります。お孫さんの1人はうちの次女ちゃんと同級生で小学校の卒業式時にいらしてました。

ビーチと屋外プールをよく見渡せる場所にあります。この辺りには20年ほど前に引っ越してきたのですが、ずっとあります。
奥に見えるのはダウンタウンバンクーバーです。
ハロウィンコスチューム姿でビーチバレーをするグループがいましたが近すぎたので写真はその隣のグループをw 砂の上を裸足では体冷えそうだなぁ〜とか、おばさんっぽいことを考えながら通り過ぎた私です。
お天気はいいのにとても寒い日でした。
