St Leonards and Crows Nest walking : July 3 2024

A different day coming up after a late night watching Tour de France and doing some trades. Tadej Pogecar does what he does - dominate the mountains. Our day - meeting friends for lunch not far. Train - bus day

Forecourt of St Leonards Station - huge water feature and palm trees

New apartment block opposite the station - we got the bus from there

This is a new sign in our local bus stop. All about resisting new planning laws - those big buildings would be what is coming in all the suburbs - 8 stories within 400 metres of stations and maybe even through roads

Had a good lunch - walked back to St Leonards to get the steps up. Photo of the new Warringah Freeway Upgrade hoardings.

Corner of local park hard up on the freeway dedicated to a vege allotment

Old shop precinct turned into a craft centre. Strange that there were shops in the middle of the houses - just 3

A sample of what is still standing - 50s apartments. We got a dining table from the block to the left. These will go as access is 15 minutes to Sydney city centre and 5 to North Sydney offices

Still quite a few old single story houses

Two with columns

Ernest bus station. Walked all the way up to Crows Nest

Most of the cottages are detached. Two semi-detached cottages makes a difference

Crows Nest church

Community centre - all modern

Got the steps in. With a good lunch - snack stuff for dinner.

Trade action: Bought FMC (assigned). Adjusted FVRR sold puts. Bought 88E.AX and MLX.AX - Alaska oil and tin
