Rano szybki wypad do Brukseli, tym razem nie było czasu na spacery po mieście. Zresztą pogoda w kratkę nie zachęcała do tego. Po powrocie do Mons zaproponowałem żonie wspólny spacer, ale ona wystraszyła się deszczu. Sam wybrałem się do Harmignies, gdzie właśnie ukończono nowy mural na budynku miejscowej szkoły. "W 2020 roku to właśnie dzieci ze szkoły w Harmignies wygrały konkurs Illustrated Doudou. Dziś ich praca jest przedstawiona w naturalnej wielkości na ścianach ich szkoły przez artystę JanIsDeMan" Fajny mural, żywe kolory. JanIsDeMan nie po raz pierwszy "zmalował" coś w Mons i okolicach. Od paru lat jego "Biblioteczka" zdobi fasadę budynku w Nimy.

[ENG] A quick trip to Brussels in the morning; there was no time to walk around the city. Besides, the weather was not encouraging. Back in Mons, I suggested my wife go for a walk together, but she was scared of the rain. I went to Harmignies, where a new mural had just been completed on the local school building. "In 2020, the children from the school in Harmignies won the Illustrated Doudou competition. Today their work is depicted in life-size on the walls of their school by artist JanIsDeMan" Cool mural, vibrant colours. It is not the first time JanIsDeMan has 'painted' something in and around Mons. For the last few years, his 'Library' has adorned the facade of a building in Nimy.

Korzystając z tego, że jeszcze nie padało poszedłem w stronę Harveng, gdzie zauważyłem ostatnio inny nowy mural. Zanim doszedłem do wioski pogoda zmieniła się i zaczął padać deszcz. Wystarczyło kilka minut, żebym przemokł do suchej nitki, ale tak szybko jak zaczęło padać tak szybko przestało. Kiedy doszedłem do Harveng znów niebo było błękitne.

[ENG] Taking advantage of the fact that it was not yet raining, I walked towards Harveng, where I had recently noticed another new mural. By the time I reached the village, the weather had changed, and it started to rain. It only took a few minutes for me to soak dry, but just as quickly as it started raining, it stopped. By the time I reached Harveng the sky was blue again.

Autorem murala w centrum wioski vis-a-vis kościoła jest Piotr Szlachta, artysta głównie tworzący w Brukseli, ale nie tylko. Jego praca ozdabia jeden z budynków w Mons. Praca jest inspirowany życiem wioski i jej silnymi elementami dziedzictwa, przedstawia zamek Harveng, który znajduje się nieopodal.

[ENG] The author of the mural in the centre of the village vis-a-vis the church is Piotr Szlachta, an artist mainly working in Brussels, but not exclusively. His work adorns one of the buildings in Mons. The work is inspired by the life of the village and its strong heritage elements and depicts Harveng Castle, which is located nearby.

Do Harmignies wracałem polną drogą. Z jednej strony miałem ciemne deszczowe chmury a za drugiej piękne błękitne niebo. Na moje szczęście już więcej nie padało, bynajmniej podczas spaceru.

[ENG] I returned to Harmignies along a dirt road. I had dark rain clouds on one side and a beautiful blue sky on the other. Fortunately, it didn't rain again, at least during the walk.

Na koniec jedno z XIX wiecznych gospodarstw w Harmignies. Podobnych zabudowań jest kilka, ale akurat wczoraj były nie po drodze. Po drodze był natomiast jeszcze jeden mural. Ten już kiedyś prezentowałem, bo powstał on blisko dwa lata temu i jest autorstwa meksykanina Farid Rueda, jego sztuka jest głęboko zakorzeniona w meksykańskich tradycjach, co widać poniżej.

[ENG] Finally, one of the 19th-century farms in Harmignies. There are several similar buildings, but they were not on the way just yesterday. There was, however, another mural on the way. I've featured this one before, as it was created nearly two years ago and is by a Mexican Farid Rueda. His art is deeply rooted in Mexican traditions, as seen below.
