I picked up my scooter from Ray's yesterday which involved a trip to Hitchin to get into the spirit of things.
In the evening we were once more found at the Plough in Langford for their monthly open mic. Kev asked us if we fancied the Marquis of Lorne instead, but I felt we should show up at this one as we got a gig on 5th May, which is the bank holiday Sunday.
It was a great evening, the place was totally packed, but the set up is always hit and miss with Woody at the helm and this time was no exception. 🙄
The second mic stand was a straight one, which I've never used before, it's a bit close with the extra arm missing, the sound was very boomy at times, oh, and Steve broke a string during Amy McDonald's "This is the life", which had to be the one that is driving the riff between verses.. lol
