Como algunos de los que ya han leído alguno de mis post sabrán, participo en un proyecto comunitario cada fin de semana junto a un grupo de artistas donde se le enseña arte a los niños , se imparten talleres, se crea y se venden nuestros trabajos, su nombre es Imagen 3 y se ubica en la calle Prado , uno de las principales arterias de la Habana

Pues este fin de semana , tuvimos una visita en el proyecto de un excelente artista de mi país, Kamyl Bullaudy que cuenta con una reconocida trayectoria dentro del escenario artístico cubano, pero su visita no fue una visita dirigida ni protocolar en ningún sentido, sino una visita de un amigo de la casa , ya que el mismo participó en el proyecto durante varios años, así que fue la visita del hijo pródigo, que en este caso arribó con su caballete bajo el brazo , una carpeta llena de cartulinas y sus inusuales paletas de trabajo, cerebro , corazón y mano prestas para crear.

Como no podía ser diferente a él se sumaron otros artistas del proyecto como @denisda y Bantú a disfrutar junto a él y compartir anécdotas y conceptos de pintura, mientras las pinceladas libres y gestuales bailaban en la cartulina

As some of you who have already read some of my posts may know, I participate in a community project every weekend with a group of artists where art is taught to children, workshops are taught, we create and sell our work, its name is Imagen 3 and is located on Prado Street, one of the main arteries of Havana.

Well this weekend , we had a visit in the project of an excellent artist from my country , Kamyl Bullaudy who has a recognized career within the Cuban art scene , but his visit was not a visit directed or protocol in any sense, It was the visit of a friend of the house, since he himself participated in the project for several years, so it was the visit of the prodigal son, who in this case arrived with his easel under his arm, a folder full of cardboard and his unusual work palettes and his brain, heart and hand ready to create.

As it could not be different, he was joined by other artists of the project as @denisda and Bantú to enjoy with him and share anecdotes and concepts of painting while the free and gestural brushstrokes danced on the cardboard.

Empezamos con el paisaje urbano , en el que está trabajando ahora este maestrazo de la gestualidad descifrando la energía y el entreverado de luces y sombras pero no desde un sentido realista sino plástico buscando balance entre tonos cálidos y fríos

We begin with the urban landscape, in which this master of gestures is now working, deciphering the energy and the interweaving of light and shadows, not from a realistic but from a plastic sense, seeking a balance between warm and cold tones.

Pero a medida que su mano fue cogiendo ala fueron pasando las cartulinas por su caballete una, dos, tres , como una máquina imparable. En un punto uno de los muchachos le pidió un Martí , verán Kamyl problablemente sea la persona que más ha representado al héroe nacional en la plástica cubana, así que complaciendo peticiones , empezó a articular pinceladas aquí y allá y wualá se hizo la magia, sin una foto o ilustración como guía, solo la imagen ya grabada en su cabeza

But as his hand was taking wing the cards were passing through his easel one, two, three, like an unstoppable machine. At one point one of the boys asked him for a Martí, you see Kamyl is probably the person who has most represented the national hero in the Cuban plastic arts, so he complied with requests, began to articulate brushstrokes here and there and wualá the magic was done, without a photo or illustration as a guide, only the image already engraved in his head.

Así fue todo el sábado y domingo, me impactó mucho su jovialidad y su capacidad de trabajo así como su humildad para un hombre que ha tenido importantes resultados en su trabajo.

Pero ahí no paró la cosa pues llegó otro amigo que si a pintar junto a él a Cecilio Avilés, artífice y fundador del proyecto, a quien perdimos recientemente y pues después de tres líneas se paró y Bullaudy agarró sus extraños pinceles japoneses y le entró al cartulina como un tren , en pocos minutos ya emergía la imagen de Cecilio plantada en medio de su proyecto querido a la mitad de Prado.

I was very impressed by his joviality and his capacity for work as well as his humility for a man who has had important results in his work.

But it didn't stop there, another friend arrived to paint with him, he wanted painting Cecilio Avilés, the architect and founder of the project whom recently pass a way, and after three lines he stopped and Bullaudy grabbed his strange Japanese brushes and entered the cardboard like a train, in a few minutes he had the image of Cecilio planted in the middle of his beloved project in the middle of Prado street.

En un momento pensé que ya había terminado pues estaba platicando con nosotros y de momento dice espera que me falta hacer algo para un hermano, sin decir quién era comenzó a pintar de nuevo , brochazos aquí y allá y de la nada como su propia canción empezó a aparecer la imagen de el gran Pablo Milanés otro gran hombre que perdimos recientemente. Pero que su canción trovadoresca está presente en el alma de varias generaciones de cubanos y personas del mundo ispano que tuvieron el gusto de escucharlo

At one point I thought he had already finished because he was talking to us and then he said wait I have to do something for a brother, without saying who he was, he began to paint again, brush strokes here and there and out of nowhere as his own song began to appear the image of the great Pablo Milanés, another great man that we lost recently, but that his troubadour song is present in the soul of several generations of Cubans and people of the Spanish world who had the pleasure of listening to him.

Que más puedo contarles amigos míos , extraordinario día en el proyecto, al menos así lo viví yo, muy atento a que no se me escapara ni un detalle,una foto con la cámara y otra con el teléfono cualquier herramienta se hace buena para capturar los buenos momentos cuando se comparte entre amigos y personas talentosas

Quisiera terminar en ese mismo tono con una frase de una canción de Pablo que reza así:

Que la luz y el arte este siempre con ustedes amigos

What else can I tell you my friends, extraordinary day in the project and I was attentive to not miss a detail, at least that's how I lived it, a photo with the camera and another with the phone any tool becomes good to capture the good moments when we shared among friends and talented people.
