The annual feast of Moalboal is held on the 15-16 of May. Moalboal is known also for its "Kagasangan Festival" (coral) in which they perform tribal dances and music. It is held in honour of St. John of Nepomuk who is a Saint in the Czechh Republic, and also the town's Patron Saint but due to the pandemic, we end up most of the fun part in celebrating the town fiesta. The past two years were very difficult to embrace but then we have to obey the government and so for two years fiesta was like just an ordinary day for us.
Our fiesta celebration before started at first week of May and lasted until May 16. Everyday it has different entertain so from the pandemic most of us missed everything during the fiesta before so after two years luckily the covid 19 pandemic is slowly getting manageable so this year's fiesta is better we can now enter the church without too much restriction and a few entertainment is held so last night together with the kids we went to the church first to give a prayer and give thanks to Lucas recovery before strolling around to enjoy the moment.
Also, we lighted candles outside to pray for the celebration of the saint.
After done with the church to pray we started strolling around full of excitement because imagine after two years we can now enjoy some of our traditional town fiesta fun activities that most of us waited for every year.
It was then crowded that we cannot walk freely and so we decided to sit in one place and enjoy the concert from a distance. We also bought a few snacks that were mostly seen during fiesta here like sweet corns, cotton candies and steamed peanuts and many more but then I was so uncomfortable taking all of the photos because of the crowd and I don't want to look stupid though.
And of course, our yearly routine that whenever we brought the kids in fiestas expectedly we have to save money for the kid's toys because for all you know different kinds of toys are displayed anywhere we pass so we have to set aside a budget for it or else you'll be annoyed with a crying child if you won't buy them toy 😅.
We bought them a toy gun which is a smart choice that my husband Carlos choose because in a pack there were two guns already just good enough for our boys.
But then when they receive the toy and opened it that is when our problem started they were playing with it and we were bothered that we can disturb somebody and so we decided to go home to avoid it. We arrived home at almost midnight but the boys still want to play with their new toy.
Indeed it was still a fun fiesta we went to and I just hope that in God's grace pandemic will end very soon so by the next year I'll be sharing with you how fun our town fiesta celebrated.
This is, for now, thank you so much for reading this far I hope everyone had a good day!😘
